Rustling outside the tent wakes me up.
I sit up, and I feel to the left of me.
Good. Zander is there. But where's Ty?"Hey, Zander," I whisper.
"Huh?" He sits up, dazed.
"Do you know where Tyler is?"
Zander looks around the small tent, "uh, no."Tyler knows that he can't walk around at night.
Just then, there's more rustling outside.
I scoot myself closer to Zander. It feels safe.Zander grabs my hand, and uses his other hand to gently turn my head towards him.
"Shhhh," is all he says before crawling out of the tent.
I follow him without his permission, and I squint to adjust to the dark.
It feels like I'm in a horror movie.
And I hate it.Zander turns around and catches me following him.
I freeze in my tracks."What are you doing, Bella?" He asks.
What am I doing?
"What are you doing?" I respond.
"I'm looking for Tyler, go back to the tent," he tells me.
"Tyler is my best friend, don't tell me what to do."Zander stood there for a moment before shrugging, "suit yourself."
It will be better if I make my own path to find my best friend. If I find that it is taking me a while, then I shall go back to the tent. Good plan, Bella. Good plan.
I make my way through the dark, cold woods. Where could Tyler have possibly gone?
My best friend would never put his--or my life in danger. After a good hour of searching, I feel it's a reasonable time to go back to the tent.
Like I've mentioned, the whole woods seemed extremely mirrored, so it would be a few hours before I could find my way back.
Damn, I should have put stones down for me to follow.
