In my head, I was thinking, how can we be so sure that we'll get out?

"It's getting pretty dark," Tyler says. I nod, "yeah, it is."
"I'm assuming that we'll be here all night," he says.
I look at him.
"We need some sort of shelter if we are."

We both walk around, hoping to collect the biggest, least vulnerable rocks to form into a little cave. We struck out. We found one or two boulders, but they were far from each other, and impossible to lift.

"What are we going to do now?" I ask, almost in tears.
"C'mere," Tyler says.
I walk over to him, and there's a big pile of soft leaves, surrounded by trees. Tyler takes off his jacket, and placed it, spread out over the pile of leaves.
He looks at me, then points to the pile.
"Sleep on this," he says.

I lay down on his jacket. It was so soft. I was freezing, still. It's summer, yet so cold in these woods.

"Where are you going to sleep?" I ask him.
He doesn't answer, but instead gets next to me.
"You cold?" He asks.
"Kinda," I reply.

He puts his arm over me, and falls asleep immediately.
