"I never met my father, did you know how he was?"
"Yes, he was one of the best warriors in our clan. Your mother must have told you about him." Ratan said.
"A little. She didn't talk much about him, neither did I bother to ask. I want to know how did he die?"
"Pushpak, your father, was very influential person in the clan. He received a lot of support from everyone. He was going to be promoted to a very high post, when the head of our clan sent us to a quest. There the rivals of your father had him killed. I barely survived. Later, I was charged for the murder of your father and ousted from the clan. I became a fierce dacoit and got a chance to take revenge of your father. I slayed down the traitors."

Rudra's eyes glittered with tear droplets.
"Don't cry, my child. Your father would have been very proud to see that you have grown up so well."
