You, momma, and Mariana were all in the car when Jesus' called.

Momma answered the phone.

"Jesus', where are you?" She said into the phone.

You sat in the passenger seat, scared of what might happen to mom. All you were told was that she was shot. You didn't know what to expect to happen.

After about ten minutes, momma pulled over to the side of the rode. Jesus' stood there.

"Come on, we have to go!" Momma told him.

Jesus' jumped in the car and asked what was going on.

"Moms been shot. We need to get to the hospital now." Momma said in a frantic manner, her voice cracking.

You placed your hand on mommas shoulder comforting her.

"We'll talk about the Anna situation later. Right now we need to be there for mom." She spoke for the last time until we arrived to the hospital.

We made our way to the waiting room, Mike was standing by the receptionists desk.

"Mike, what happened?" Momma asked.

As they spoke you stood back behind everyone, as you paced back and forth.

You made your way over to everyone once the doctor came out. She had a mix up on who to speak to at first, thinking Mike was still mom's husband, but momma cleared that up.

"We have our trauma team working on hour partner. Her condition is very critical." The doctor said.

"Can I see her?"

"Once she's stable." She responded.

"Shes not stable." Momma asked scared.

"Her lung collapsed, she lost a lot of blood.

"Is she gonna make it?"

"Were doing everything that we can to make that happen.
As soon as she is stable, we'll take you back to see her." The doctor said before leaving.

"Was Anna there? Did she do this?" Mariana spoke up.

"No..She was with me." Jesus' answered.

"I've gotta get out of here." You whispered to yourself. You then rushed out of the room.

You looked back to see if anyone had followed, but they hadn't. You took out your phone and called the person you would normally go to if something like this were to happen.

"Come on pick up, pick up." You whispered through the tears. You knew she wouldn't.

Right when you were about to take the phone down and hang up someone answered, a man.

"Hello. Who's this?" The man asked. This was not her dad, and Hanna doesn't have any brothers. The man seemed to have had a Brooklyn accent.

"Hello? Who are you? Why do you have her phone?" You asked.

"Look miss, I think you have the wrong number."

"No, I dont think I do. Where is she."

"Look, you have the wrong number. I don't know who "she" is, but I'm gonna hang up now." He said before doing so.

"Wait..No, No, No...I have to talk to her." You took the phone away from your ear, and leaned against the wall.

"Please...please just let me-I just want my bestfriend." You sobbed, sliding to the ground.

You sat there a while until you felt a hand on your shoulder.

It was Callie, and next to her Brandon.

They both slid down to sit next to you.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay. Your mom's gonna be okay." Callie said.

"Yeah, I mean you know mom, she's a fighter. She's tough, she's gonna get through this." Brandon said, fighting through tears, placing a hand on your shoulder.

"I know..it's not just that." You paused. "Its everything. First we get new people in the house-no offence of course, we love having you guys, it was just a surprisem then its the twins and their birth mom, Hanna has gone MIA, and now mom...it's just a lot that's all." You finished with more tears than expected.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay." Brandon said hugging you. You could feel Callie's hand on your back.

"Just remember how we do things in this family...together." he said as you pulled apart.

"Thank you guys. I feel a little better." you said standing up. They both nodded.

The three of you headed back to the waiting room. When you walk in you ad immediately get hugged by momma.

"I turn around for one second and your gone. I got worried. " she told you.

She then hugged Brandon, at that time the doctor had come out.

"Shes stable." The doctor began. "We need to get her to imaging, but your fine to see her before."

"Can I come?" Mike had asked.

"For now, we are only allowing the significant other." She answered. Momma then followed the doctor back to see mom.

Momma came back out after about 15 minutes.

"So, she's...she's good. She's opened her eyes." She paused. "She's going to be okay. They asked if we would move up to the second floor waiting room." Momma finished as the receptionist spoke.

"We need Mrs. Fosters insurance information-" momma then had interrupted her.

"Its "Ms." She snapped. "Do I have to do that right now?"

The receptionist then apologized. Momma walked off, and Mike had left after a few minutes as well.

Brandon was furious, he began glaring at Jesus'.

"Brandon don't." Callie had said, but he pushed past her.

"What the hell is wrong with you? I thought you didn't want anything to do with your birth mother. That she was a drug addict and a con artist." Brandon said to Jesus'.

"I was just trying to help her." Jesus' said.

"Look how that turned out. We took you in when nobody else wanted you- When that women abandoned you. And this is what you do?" Brandon said on the verge of shouting out in anger.

"Brandon stop." Callie had said.

"No, because of you, my mom is in there fighting for her life!" He said now shouting.

"She's our mom too." Jesus' replied.

"And you started all of this." He said to Mariana.

"You need to back off." Jesus' started. "She feels bad enough."

"Yeah, she should. She should feel bad.

"Brandon, that's enough!" You said forcefully.

"Brandon, walk away." Callie said, giving him a small push.

"What ever happened to sticking together as a family?" You asked yourself.

"He didn't mean all that. He's just scared." Callie said after he left.

You turned and hugged both Jesus' and Mariana.

How did my life get so upside down? You thought as you hugged your siblings.
