Authors Note:
I had to go back and change the last chapter seeing as I hadn't realized it was a memory episode and not a continuation of the storyline. You might go back and reread it or at least the end.•••
"Y/n...y/n! Wait. Just wait a second." Brandon said as he started to come after you
"What, Brandon?" You asked as you stopped and turned back to your brother.
"Look, what you just saw...it's not what it looks like." He tried to explain.
"Oh, so you and Callie weren't just making out?" You asked.
"Maybe it was somewhat what it looked like, but it's not. It's not, okay? We were just-" he started.
"Look, I'm not gonna say anything because I love Callie and I really want her to be apart of this family, for real. But you can't be doing that. You're gonna screw everything up." You explained.
"I know, I know. We just...I don't know. I just need to process everything." He said.
"Please, Brandon. You guys are gonna ruin any chance of Callie getting adopted. You have to stop." You begged. Brandon looked at you sincerely before nodding and walking away.

Back at the party, Robert ended up having a panic attack. An ambulance had came to help and it ended up being caused by a fight he had with Callie earlier in the night. Callie's adoption papers had never actually been sent in due to Sofia and Robert was now refusing to sign them again.
My family had now gotten home from the party and there was a lot to process.
"He said he signed the papers, shouldn't he have to stick to that?" Jude had asked.
"Well, you would think so." Mom answered.
"He was clearly upset by the whole thing. I think that with time and space from all of the drama, he will come to his senses. I hope, anyway." Mama had added. "It all went down really fast and there was so much emotion involved. He just needs a little room to change his perspective."
"I can't believe he pulled this. He seemed like such a nice guy." Mariana had said.
"Not everyone is what they seem." Mom said. "It's a lesson for all of us."
"Callie, it's gonna be okay. We're gonna work this out. Why don't you all go get changed out of your clothes. Put on something comfortable and we'll get dinner going. Okay?" You all nodded before doing as she said.

"So, what are you doing Saturday?" Sam said as he met me at my locker.
"I've got therapy in the morning and then my sister has a dance competition. My whole family's going." I answered. "Why? What's up?"
"I was just gonna see if you wanted to hang out." He said.
"Oh, I totally would, you know." I said. "Hey, what if you came with? It would be way cooler if you were there."
"Count me in then." He said.
"Really? Great. I can't wait." I said. I saw Connor in the corner of my eye. "Hey, I'll see you at lunch."
