Pennywise sat on the cold, hard ground as he fiddled with his latest project. He was painting a small Jack n' the box with a tiny version of himself sat snugly inside. Pennywise concentrated vigorously as he painted and sewed every single detail and smirked when he had finally finished.
"This will be a great prop for later." Pennywise chuckled.
He glanced at the small box once more before tossing it onto the huge pile of trash that sat in the center of the massive cavern. Pennywise frowned and stared up at the ceiling where all the floating children from centuries ago stayed, some new ones were also added over the weekend but they didn't really matter.
Speaking of children.. Georgie, was a bit of a puzzle. Now, Pennywise has met hundreds. No, thousands of children over the course of his existence and all of them were very similar and predictable. But Georgie.. Georgie was a strange little tyke, as well as an aberration, but he also posed as a wonderful challenge as well.
Pennywise laughed as he remembered what the little boy told him when they first met. It was such a ridiculous thing to say and so innocent, it almost made him want to vomit. If it weren't for the fact he hadn't eaten yet, he may as well."You can keep her if you want. The boat I mean.. Maybe you'll feel less lonely with her company.." Pennywise frowned as he conjured said paper boat in his hand and gave it a curious once over. This human was so strange..

Meanwhile, as luck would have it, the same child that plagued the clowns thoughts was waiting for him by the side of the road. Just like last time he adorned his yellow raincoat and green galoshes, It was only raining slightly today. The sun had mostly been out and it wasn't particularly wet but Georgie thought it best that he wear something practical and familiar for the clown also. Something he knew the clown would recognise him with.
This time though, Georgie didn't come looking for anything lost in the sewer, hadn't brought anything to loose. Except for maybe this bag of leftover popcorn but that was with the intention of handing it over.Nevertheless..
Georgie exhaled slowly as he carefully crouched down at the foot of the drain. He leaned forward slightly and carefully peeked inside, half expecting the clown to pop up out of nowhere just like last time. "Hello..?" He called out timidly.A couple of minutes went by and there was no sign of the clown. He sighed when he saw nothing and slowly pulled away from the gap as he looked down at the popcorn in his hand sadly.
I guess I could try come back again later Georgie thought tiredly.
"Well.. What a nice surprise.." Pennywise cooed.
Georgie looked up to face Pennywise instantly, his smile shining brilliantly through the drizzle.
"Mister Penny!" Georgie exclaimed.
"Yes that's me." Pennywise chuckled. "What are you doing here Georgie?" Pennywise asked politely.
"Oh! I uh.. Brought you something!" Georgie smiled as he presented the popcorn to Pennywise.
"I figured, since yours got blown away I could give you some of mine from my house." Georgie explained.
"Well, how thoughtful of you Georgie, thank you very much.."
Georgie beamed as he crawled over to the drain and outstretched his hand practically shoving the popcorn in Pennywise's face. "Here you go! Sorry, I can't get get any closer. Just quickly grab it." Georgie said.
Pennywise bunched his shoulders in a tight flinch, not expecting little Georgie to just.. hand himself over? Quite literally.
He remained transfixed by Georgie's tiny hands and followed his movements precisely with his eyes, the scent this boy was expelling was intoxicating— drool worthy. And the prospect of a fresh kill drew Pennywise so close, he barely noticed the bag of popcorn almost bopping against his red nose.
It would be so easy to grab his hand, tear off his arm and consume him right then and there. But.. something was stopping him.
Stopping him from becoming the consumption.
He began to shake.Why?
He's right there, half the job is already done just
GRAB HIM!!Pennywise's head began to pound.
Maybe that was the problem, the hunt was too easy. Far too boring for him to be considered a successful hunt?
Yes.. yes that must be right.
Taking a moment to recollect, Pennywise softened his posture and came to a decision, one he hoped would be worth it; he gently grabbed the bag of light confectionery and offered Georgie a small smile as he stuffed it inside his pockets.Georgie smile grew as he pulled away. As soon as the bag was lifted, he shifted on his knees to whiteness his friends reaction. And sure enough, while he didn't expect much, Georgie was delightfully surprised as he spotted some drool falling from the clowns lips. The sight of grown man salivate over something as small as a bag of popcorn? He couldn't help himself, Georgie started giggling at him, which thankfully the clown didn't seem to mind as he too smiled.
"Thank you Georgie, I will save them for later." Pennywise winked.
Georgie nodded and slowly moved away from the drain as he took a moment to look behind him, it was already beginning to get dark out and Georgie wanted to spend more time getting to know his friend..
But, curfew was curfew and Georgie be damned by his parents if he were to ever get caught breaking it. He exhaled.
"I have to go now mister Penny. I hope you'll enjoy your popcorn!" Georgie said sweetly as he stood up.Pennywise fought the urge to grumble or frown at the boy and instead left him with a taut grin and a little wave. "I'm sure I will. Until next time Georgie.." then he disappeared from view.
Georgie blinked in awe as he stared at the empty sewer drain and giggled happily, curious and giddy to know if he made his new friend happy.
He then began to wander back home where Billy would be waiting for him.__________________________________________________________________________
Pennywise slid down the dome walls of his lair with a grunt as he held the bag of popcorn in his hands, clenching it tightly.
"Twice, twice that brat has gotten away.."
Three times if you count the Barrens but that was just a mere tactic to get the boy wary of him.See how well that turned out.
But what really threw Pennywise off was Georgie's scent.. the boy wasn't even afraid of him yet his smell was so potent, so deliciously raw and good..
Without another word or thought passing through Pennywise's brain, the clown teared open the bag of popcorn and dived into the surgery treats; distracting his taste-buds and relieving himself into believing that it was actually the boy he was consuming.
It worked, but only slightly. His maniacal laughter filled the underground as he stared off into the abyss.
I will get you.. Georgie Denbrough..

Ok, let me just say one thing! I DO NOT ship these two romantically, I see them as potentially good friends. (I know that obviously doesn't happen in the movie, which I love btw. ) Anyways I've said what I wanted haha. Hope you guys are enjoying this little story, and please give me some pointers! Cheers!
