Sasuke cursed as he quickly jumped out of bed and into a protective stance. He unintentionally woke up Naruto in the process, but he was too focused on the man to pay attention. There was only a small glass barrier separating the two of them, one that was promptly shattered in a matter of seconds.
"Hoshigaki Kisame, it's pretty rare to see you around these parts." Sasuke growled, his eyes not leaving the Akatsuki member. Kisame only smirked in response,
"To be honest I wasn't expecting you here... Oh well, guess I'll be taking two bodies back with me then. I'm sure you're brother will be overjoyed to see you." The ravenette's glare intensified,
"Over my dead body." And with that, Sasuke launched a fist at Kisame, but the rogue nin blocked it easily."
"That can be arranged." Kisame said with a smirk, "Say, aren't there three of you brats? Where's the girl?" Sasuke shot daggers with his eyes at the ex-Kiri nin and was about to retort.
But then Kisame's eyes widened as he fell forward, revealing Naruto, who had just launched a Bijuu bomb. Sasuke stared at the body for a few seconds before relaxing his stance and walking over to the unconscious shinobi.
"What are you doing 'ttebayo?" Naruto asked as he watched Sasuke kick Kisame's head a couple times.
"Taking safety precautions."

"I heard the crash and just wanted to make sure that...what the hell happened in here?" Sasuke and Naruto turned to face Sakura, who had just barged into their room and was staring at Kisame's knocked out form. "Is that an Akatsuki cloak?"
"Yup, I knocked him out 'ttebayo!" Sakura nodded absentmindedly and then looked to Sasuke for an explanation.
"This is-"
"Hoshigaki Kisame," Kakashi finished, cutting off Sasuke in the process. "Also known as the Monster of Kiri. What's he doing all the way out here?"
"To capture Naruto." Sasuke replied, recalling Kisame's earlier statement.
"...Why?" Kakashi pushed, making Sasuke huff annoyedly.
"If I knew that much don't you think I'd tell you?"
"Well with how you've been recently I'd say-"
"Both of you shut up. Sasuke, what you said doesn't fit in with our other information...Why would they want Naruto?"
"Both him and Gaara are Jinchuuriki, and they were both almost captured," Sasuke replied with a know-it-all tone, making Sakura glare at him half-heartedly.
"Then explain how the attack on Oto fits in." The pinkette smirked triumphantly when she was met with silence from the ex-Uchiha. "That's what I thought. It makes no sense..." Sakura trailed off, but Gaara took over the "interrogation" for her.
"Sasuke, what did Kisame say exactly?" Sasuke recited everything that happened, making Gaara furrow his brows.
"So he was originally planning on kidnapping one of you three, and he specifically asked for Sakura. I don't know about you but I think that it sounds like they want Sakura more than Naruto."
"But we still don't know why?" Kakashi stated though it was more of a question.
"Well, first they tried to kidnap the Kazekage, and now they try capturing the girlfriend of the Kazekage. Even I can put two-and-two together 'ttebayo." Naruto pointed out, "Which makes me wonder...Where the hell are those two ANBU Orochimaru assigned to us? Weren't they with you, Gaara, dattebayo?" Gaara only shrugged.
"How about we look at all this tomorrow okay? I think we could all use some rest. Get Kurama and Shukaku to guard Kisame and we'll deal with him in the morning." Kakashi was met with no protest and soon everyone was in bed.

Sasuke groaned as he felt light shine on his face. "Dobe what're you doing?"
"Sorry Teme, I couldn't sleep."
"So your solution is shining light in my eyes?"
"No, not not everything is about you, Sasuke." After seeing the ravenette's frown, Naruto quickly corrected himself, "I was joking, I just needed the light to see what I'm doing."
Sasuke was sitting up now, "What are you doing exactly, Dobe?" He asked as he watched Naruto begin to write something in a small notebook.
"Just checking something that has been bothering me for a while...Hey Sasuke, what were the names of those two ANBU with us?"
"Uh, Mizaski and Kebuhi I think."
"And Sakura's Parents?"
"Mebuki and Kizashi,"
"Mm-hm," Naruto said absentmindedly before scribbling down on the paper in front of him, "So then if you switch the first letters, and then the last two...No freaking way!"
"What is it?" Sasuke asked, leaning so that he could see the paper.
"Holy shit that's freaky."

Sorry this chapter took a bit longer to post and was a bit shorter than usual, I have a bit of writers block atm so I'm spending my time mapping out the story more than actually writing it.
Updates will probably be really spaced out until I get all these application things done (I'm switching schools)
I also wanted to say that I'll be posting the first chapter of that AOT ff I was talking about a while back. I'll probably update that one a lot less (if at all) until this story is done but I just wanted to give you all a heads up. (/shameless self-promo)
