Ascending (Sequel to Rock Bottom)

There's an ending....kinda??

Hey! It's been a while. I hope everyone is well and safe.

I completely forgot about my wattpad account lmaoo. Sorry for not updating in like 2 years haha.

Soo, two things happened. 1, I lost all motivation to write this story, and 2, I kinda fell out with wattpad.

I used to LOVE this site, but around the time premium rolled around, and the offline reading became a paid feature, I found myself using it less and less. Ngl I'm still salty about that. But yeah, wattpad changed so much and it's just not what it used to be. AO3 is where it's at :P

This sequel honestly wasn't something I planned on ever making. I was never totally into it in the beginning. I had all of rock bottom pretty much planned out before I began writing it, but this.... I basically winged the entire thing, and I think it shows lol. I feel like every plot point is a stretch haha.

Oh,, not rly relevant to anything but Rock bottom was supposed to be sasunarusaku lol until the polls when like everyone wanted sasunaru (That being said I still like sasunaru, just that I think the poly ship would have fit better with the plot)

Unfinished fics make me sad, and I made a promise to myself when I just started writing fics to never leave one unfinished. So me coming back is really just me keeping that promise to myself even though I'm like 2 years late lol.

I'm not gonna be writing the chapters, I don't really remember where I wanted to go with this story. But what i do have are my notes for the plot.

So here, all the notes I had for Ascending. 

Itachi is in the Akatsuki

Kushina is being held captive there

Sakura's parents are otogakure shinobi,

They are double agents for Pein

Pein wants to rule the world

Wants to reunite Yahiko's family because he feels indebted to them.

Kushina was kept in the Akatsuki base b/c she ran into Nagato after she escaped Konoha

They travel to otogakure

Orochimaru is there

he explains his otokage situation

Gaara understands

Sannin are there as well

Gaara explains the Akatsuki situation,

HINT: They're not capturing jinchuuriki, they're capturing the Kages

Konoha thinks they are unaffected, but the akatsuki want to take their entire village

Kushina was captured to lure Minato, and then he died but she's still there

Uzumaki's blamed Minato for her kidnapping

Also blamed all Namikazes

They get Suna's help.

Team 7 begins to train

Sakura trains against Tsunade

Naruto trains w/ Jiraiya, tells him about Minato

Sasuke trains w/ Orochimaru

They meet one day and spar

Sasuke mad at Sakura because she lost, made her cry

Naruto talks to him

"She took you in"

Makes him apologize

They stay outside for the night

Sakura and Kakashi

Kakashi finds out about the side effects of Sakura's kekkei genkai

Sakura forgot tungsten on purpose,

Manipulating it hurts her

Gaara leaves for Suna due to an emergency the same time Team 7 is about to leave for Konoha.

He takes Sakura out to eat

On a proper date

On the trip to Konoha

Naruto and Sasuke

Deep convo

Stress, Sasuke confesses how he knows so much about Akatsuki (kinda)

Naruto talks him into apologizing to Sakura

SasuNaru happens, for real.

BATTLE

Team 7 + gaara taken into Uchiha base

Planning another coup underneath Akatsuki

They are planning on uprising soon

Sasuke is the new heir even if everybody hates it because Fugaku died and Itachi defected (is not part of Akatsuki, did it to protect Sasuke because Pein threatened him)

He is the last of the main branch

The Akatsuki have eyes and ears everywhere, so they can only talk inside the compound and nobody can be seen

Kenta and Hiro explain the plan but one of Sasori's puppet-scorpions overhears and they have to speed things up

Sasuke, Naruto, and Gaara get taken by Hidan and Kakuzu to the Akatsuki base and are kept in the basement

Yahiko was Sakura's cousin, her parents left her to go find him after they heard he was spotted somewhere

Minato gets a physical form when Naruto sees Sasuke almost dead state from his fight with Itachi

During the fight

Sakura's dagger

Rejected her powers and caused the side effects

Is the only weapon you can use to kill a Haruno clan member

Sasuke is dragged away with the Uchiha to take on Itachi and Kisame

Hidan and Naruto fight

It's not written, but ofc at the end they all live happily ever after riding off into the sunset and all that jazz

I learned a lot on wattpad, and made a lot of great memories and friends. But now that I'm a little older I think it's time for me to move on.
