"Hey baby sister, I'm back!" Cameron yelled, slamming the door behind him.
"Don't slam the door like that. And stop calling me your baby sister." I glared at him. He was late. Very late.
"Now now, what's been crawling up your big fat ass, baby sister?" My brother replied, grabbing a Kit Kat from the fridge.
Narrowing my eyes at him, I pointed at the chocolate he was holding in his hands.
"This? I was about to give it to you." He grinned, throwing it to me. I returned the grin, all annoyance I had previously vanishing.
"Why were you so late?" I asked him, munching on the Kit Kat.
"I-uh-uhm..."
"Yeah?" It was very rare that Cameron stammered.
"Kate, I'm telling you because I trust you so do not tell our parents okay?" My brother pleaded with me.
He never called me Kate. So this must be serious, mustn't it?
"Fine. What is it?"
"I...I was out with my...girlfriend."
"What?!" I practically shouted. Lowering my voice to not disturb Mum who was upstairs, I pointed an accusing finger at him.
"Dad said we cannot date till we are at least seventeen! You're fourteen, Cam!"
My brother answered, running his hands through his hair. "I know sister, but I really like her. Please...please don't tell them. Please?"
One more thing. He never said please.
"Fine! Since I already promised you I shall keep to that promise."
I crossed my arms. "But don't let her get in between our siblingship."
My brother laughed, patting my head.
"Okay baby sister."
The scene changed. We were now in Cameron's car a few years later.
"So my Kathy is fourteen now, huh? You've grown so much, I'm so proud!" My idiotic brother was imitating Mum in the car with me laughing hysterically beside him.
It was my fourteenth birthday. Our parents had agreed when Cameron proposed the idea that the two of us go to the Universal Studios with our other cousins. I was very happy.
God, how much I love my brother, I thought.
Cameron was still making wild gestures, completely distracted from the driving. My intuition was telling me to stop laughing and make him focus on driving, but it was like something was controlling me... I kept laughing yet I wanted to reach out and point out that the car was nearing the end...
Tell him to focus, Kate!
I opened my mouth but nothing came out. All that escaped was a gasp as I watched the car near the edge of the highway...
"What- OH MY GOD." Cameron shouted as he quickly tried to control the car.
But it was too late.
I knew what was gonna happen. It was the same everytime.
"Please don't...please..." I cried as he lost control and the car turned turtle.
No! Save him!
My first instinct was to get out of the car as soon as possible. I landed sucessfully when the car flipped, brushing off the dust on my hands.
