"We just met recently. I'm Junky!"
"Oh..." I sounded disappointed as I though it was MageV, also known as Vinc.
"Who were you expecting?? Mage??" He asked.
"Yeah. Since he is Vinc. And you're Vincent. Sorry," I tried to laugh it off.
"It's alright, Jil. Nice to meet you anyways. Please take care of me from now on," He offered his hand.
I shook hands with him and smiled.
"Me too, Vincent. Please take care of me too."
"By the way... you look quite young. How old are you, Jil?"
"Ah... I'm 16. You?"
Awkward silence.
"I'm 22."
Wow... 6 years of age difference. But somehow, I get a feeling that we'd get along well with each other. Speaking of age, I wonder how old is Vinc...
"What about Mage?" He added.
"Err... I'm not sure..." I let out an awkward laughter. I seriously don't know anything about Vinc although we knew each other for quite some time.
"Well, it's okay, isn't it? Age doesn't really matter. I never expected that my neighbour would be a female whom I met in a game. Not to mention, a high school kid," he chuckled.
"I never expected that you'd move in next door either," I laughed, thinking about how funny it is and meeting Vincent here is really such an amazing coincidence.
"Hmmm... you're free every Saturday right, since it's weekend?"
"Errr... yes...? Why...?" I asked suspiciously while backing off. Vincent seems kind of creepy; scaring me.
"Want to go to the 7th floor to play FriendStory together? Since 7th floor is a leisure place and the internet connection is great," he asked with a gentle smile.
"Yea, sure! I thought you were going to do something weird," I laughed nervously.
"Sorry," I added.
"It's good that you're conscious of me," he smirked at me.
"What?!" I asked in a shocked. What he meant by that?
"You shall see, Jil. I guess you'd better hurry if you want to make it to school in time, little girl," he said, pointing to the wall clock.
10 minutes left before school starts! I'd have to run to school!
"Alright thanks for informing me!" I quickly stood up and went back to my room to prepare for school.
"Such a funny and cute little girl," Vincent thought to himself and smiled.
When I was ready to go to school, I saw Vincent standing by the door; rolling up his sleeves, probably waiting for someone.
I brisk walked to the elevator but was stopped by someone.
"Jil! Why didn't you wait for me, heartless little girl?!"
"E-eh? What'd you mean?" I asked, tilting my head trying to figure out what he meant.
"You're so dense, little girl. I was waiting for you."
"What for?"
"To drive you to school. It's faster this way, isn't it?"
"I-it's okay! You have to go to work, isn't it?"
"It's in the same direction ; no worries," he smiled.
Awkward silence once again.
"Well... that guy is a nice person so I guess he wouldn't do anything. Doesn't hurt to carpool only once," I thought.
"Alrighty, Mister Vincent. Please fetch me to school," I smiled playfully.
"Alright, Miss Jilly."
And so, we talked about FriendStory on the way to school.
"We're here, miss. Study hard!"
"Thanks, mister," I got off the car and waved goodbye to him.
He smiled and drove off to his workplace.
I walked towards the school gate and looked back. However, I saw his car on another side of the road.
Could it be that his workplace is in the opposite direction? But he obviously said that it's in the same direction...?
As I was lost in thoughts, the teacher on duty told me to hurry up as school is going to start in a few minutes.
"It's okay, Jil. Don't get suspicious yet. Perhaps he just went to get something. Right? Yeah. Just ask him when both of you are home. Yes, I should do that. Remember, don't be a burden to others just like last time..."
