"Alright, class. We'll stop here for today. Remember to do your homeworks during the break and please take care of yourself! You may dismiss now."

Students are screaming out of joy. It is finally the moment we all have been waiting for ; vacations! Two months vacations!

"I have to finish up my homeworks fast and participate in the level 100 event. Hopefully Vinc is available to play today. I wonder if Vincent will join us too... Tsk! What are you thinking Jil?! Vincent has his work life. Wait... isn't Vinc working too? Sigh... they're both busy," I let out a loud sigh again.

As I was finding for my house key, someone called up to me.

"Little girl!"

"Only one person will call me by that..." I turned back and guess what? It is just whom I thought it would be.

Vincent.

"Hello, little girl. Why're you back home so late? It's already six in the evening."

"Hi. Why're you home so early?"

"Ouch! How mean!" He ugly sobbed.

I looked at him weirdly with a judgemental face.

"I don't know you," I walked in the house.

He grabbed onto my arm and apologised.

"Please help me level in FriendStory! I beg you!"

"Ha?"

"Do you know that event can get a permanent pet? I've always wanted a pet but I'm too busy to complete events... So please, let me leech your experience points! I'll pay you!"

This guy... is desperate...

"I understand. I'll help you."

"R-really?!" He said with a puppy eye.

"Yes. Mark my words. However, you don't have to pay me."

"T-then?"

"Instead, accompany me whenever you're free."

"Just... that?"

I realised what I was asking and thought maybe it was a weird request.

"F-forget about it. Just pretend that you've never heard anything about it," I said, avoiding his eyes.

"I'll do it."

"Ha...?"

"I'll come and visit you everyday!" He said happily.

"O-o-okay..." I smiled.

I don't want to be a burden; I don't want to be alone again.

"Nghh... I had a weird dream yesterday..." I rubbed my eyes and got up.

As I was brushing my teeth, I heard the doorbell.

"Hold on for a moment!" I shouted.

After I am done brushing my teeth, I opened the door and to my surprise, mother and sister is there.

"M-mom??" I asked in confusion.

"Morning, Jil. I've brought your lil sis with me," she smiled as she was handing over my sister's small hand to me.

"I can see that. Why are you even here with her?" I held the little hand.

"Well... I've got work to do and no one is available to take care of her and I'm worried leaving her alone at home since she's only nine years old... so I thought that I could leave her with you."

You spoil her too much! When I was nine, I was already home alone. Ugh!

"Just for today, right?"

"Yes, Jil... Please... help your mom and sister..."

"Alright. Just come and pick her up when you're done with your work."

"Thanks Jil. Mom will surely repay you," she said as she walked off.

"... In the end, you came here because of Sylvie, not me. Looks like I really don't have a place in your heart."

"What is it, Jiji?" Asked a soft, gentle voice.

"Nothing, Sylvie. You don't have to worry much," I smiled.

Don't be a burden. Smile... Don't make others worry. It's not Sylvie's fault... it's mine...

"Jil!!"

"Hmmm...? That voice...?"

"Who's that lady?"

"Oh... what is it?"

"FriendStory time!"

"Wha-what?"

"You promised me! Don't tell me you've forgotten?!"

"..."

"Meanie!!!!!!" He ugly sobbed.

Sylvie laughed at him.

Vincent stopped sobbing as he noticed her.

"Eh? Who is she?"

"I-it couldn't be?!" He added.

"Your daughter?!" He asked in shock.

"No, you idiot," I said with a straight face.

"My younger sister, Sylviette."

"O-oh... nice to meet you, Sylviette," he smiled and reached out his hands to hold her fingers.

"Jiji, who is this uncle?" She asked while hiding behind my back.

I burst out laughing.

"S-she c-c-called you... an u-uncle..." my tears rolled down.

Vincent tried to hold back his tears as he convince Sylvie.

"Look here, Sylviette. I'm no uncle. I is you brother. Call. Me. Brother. Not uncle. Okay?"

"... but you look old..."

I tried to hold back my laughter and whispered "old" and I burst out laughing again.

Finally, Vincent couldn't take it anymore and he just accepted the fact that a nine years old girl called him, a 22 years old guy, an uncle who looks old no matter how much effort he put in to convince her that he is a brother, not uncle.
