Vincent's POV

"Nghh... Where am I??" I stretched my arms and I realised I'm not in my bedroom.

"This place?!"

I looked around and I saw Jilly beside me with Sylvie.

"What the heck happened?!"

Yesterday... I went drinking with company... I got too drunk... I remembered taking a cab home... Then? Then?? Then?!

Did I slept outside?! I'm so sinful omg for sleeping in a high schooler's room.

"I'd better leave before they woke up."

Jilly's POV

Yawnnnnn.

"Hmm? Where's that guy?"

Oh well. Doesn't matter. I guess he woke up and went home. Should I make a hangover soup for him? Oh wait... What time is it...?

I checked the time and its only 8 in the morning. One more hour till mom comes.

******

I knocked on his door and he opened.

"Here."

"What's this?" He asked, scratching his belly."

Omg please be aware that I'm a girl, you idiot. Stop making my heart race.

"Hangover soup, stupid."

"Meh. Thanks, Jil," he smiled.

"Do you... Remember what happened yesterday?"

"To be honest..." He looks like he is deep in thoughts.

"Yes..."

"..."

"I'm sorry for causing you troubles."

Wait... He don't remember...? That I asked him?

"O-oh... It's okay. Anyways I'm busy got to go, bye," I quickly left.

He really doesn't remember, that idiot.

I'm the idiot. Not him. I shouldn't have had hopes. I shouldn't have fallen for him. He's 22. You're just 16.

Someone knocked on the door.

"Must be mom."

I opened the door, and yes, it is mom.

"Where's Sylvie?"

"Hold on. I think she's having breakfast now."

She just barged into my home and stopped Sylvie from having breakfast.

"You don't have to eat that witch's breakfast. Who knows if she had poisoned it," she told Sylvie.

"W-what...?"

"Jilly will never do that."

Mother looked at Vincent.

"Who are you and why do you care about our family business?"

"I'm..." He glanced over at me and saw few drops of tears.

"I'm just a neighbour who is close to Jilly. Although I just moved in not long ago, I believe Jilly isn't the type of person to do that," he defended me.

"Vincent..."

"Whatever. I don't care. Come on, Sylvie. Let's go home with daddy!" She smiled.

Sylvie turned back and waved at me while mom just ignored me.

"Daddy...?" I was lost in thoughts.

"Wow. Your mom."

"Mom... Remarried?"

"Huh? Your parents divorced?

"No... My dad... Passed away two years ago. Sylvie's not my biological sister... Mom had an affair and dad found out before he passed. My mom is the cause of my dad's death."

"Ohhh... I'm... Sorry to hear that."

"It's okay. I moved out because mom really hates me, as you can see. She remarried with her husband but I'm not even invited to her wedding. She only finds me when she needs me."

"Jil..." He hugged me and patted my head.

I know he is just pitying me. However, do I have a chance with you?

"Vinc babe... What the heck are you doing with a minor?"

I glanced over and it's a stunningly pretty woman standing over there, matured and ladylike.

"I-it's not what you think it is," he tried to explain.

"I trusted you, babe."

Vincent pushed me away and went over to her.

"I-it's just a misunderstading, ma'am!" I explained to her the entire situation.

"If you're worrying that your boyfriend is cheating on you, then rest assured. He isn't, ma'am."

"Little girl, I'm just afraid you'd fall for him, just like any other girls would," she looked like she was teasing me.

"What the heck? With that uncle? Impossible! Besides, I have someone that I like already! And you don't know that person anyways."

"Really?" She questioned with a suspicious look.

The elevator door opened, and it's Sam!

"Y-yea! That person over there. He's the one that I like!"

"Sam?" Vincent asked with a shocked face.

"Huh? Me?" Sam asked with a shocked face.

Dear dad in heaven, I know that you told me to be honest but... For the first time in my 16 years of life, I've lied. Please forgive me for lying, but it's to protect the person that I like.
