Later that night, everyone had finished dinner. Natasha and Asha were in room doing something while Ved was seated in the living room. Out of nowhere Nihal appeared.
'Want to play?' He asked. Ved glanced at two remote controls he held his hand. He then looked up at Nihal and smiled widely.
'Of course.'
Nihal looked visibly excited. He tossed one of the remote control at Ved and leaped on the sofa. Ved shifted and smiled looking at the excited kid.
At the start of the game Ved had planned to be easy on the kid but as the game progressed, Ved got involved in the game and became aggressive. Nihal was no less, he was equally aggressive. On hearing the commotions, Natasha and Asha peeped from inside the room. Natasha is immensely happy seeing them bond.
The game ended soon with Nihal winning. He yelled happily and threw his remote control on the sofa and did a little victory dance. Ved was disappointed he lost but happy seeing the kid dancing happily.
'Woah! Slow down, Champ.' Ved held his waist and pulled him. Nihal stopped, jumped and sat comfortably on his lap. He huffed taking deep breaths, Ved looked at him. Looking at him closely, Ved noticed he looked very similar to Natasha. Only little of his features were different; his father's features. Ved felt slightly bad and so he looked away.
'You are much better than Mumma. She can't play video games. Always confused with the buttons.' Nihal said after he had found his voice. Ved nodded.
'Girls!' The two said in unison and then looked at each other shocked. They began laughing.
When Ved announced he is leaving, Nihal was slightly disappointed and this was a positive sign. Natasha and Ved glanced at each other and passed a smile. Nihal was still little hesitant. He did a quick goodbye and left. Asha and Ved hugged each other. She left making some excuse.
'Good night!' Natasha said and leaned to hug Ved, but he held her arm and she blinked at him. He smiled and kissed her cheek. 'Good night.' He whispered and moved his lips to kiss her lips, but she moved her head back. Ved pouted and Natasha smiled shaking her head.
'Nihal might catch us.' She said pinching his cheek. Ved sighed.
'I hope your stubborn kid melts.' He said massaging his forehead. Natasha sighed sadly and nodded her head. Ved smiled at her and hugged her. She took few seconds to hug him back. Ved patted her back, - 'Everything will be all right.' He whispered, and she held him tighter.

Next day, Ved and Aditya sat on their usual place in the Café when a small kid came to them.
'Oh, Hello. Nihal. You are here?' Ved asked confusedly. Nihal nodded brightly.
'I get bored at home, so Mom got me here. She told you will be here.' He said. Ved smiled at him.
Aditya tapped the little boy's shoulder and he turned to look at him. 'Hi!' Aditya extended his hand.
'Hi.' Nihal replied dryly and turned back to Ved. 'So, you will come home, tonight?' He asked. Ved got slightly hopeful, he looked up at his dejected friend and grinned at him. Aditya twisted his lips and looked away. Ved looked back at Nihal and held his shoulder.
'Yes.'
'Awesome.' Nihal exclaimed and Ved's smile widened.
'Hello, sir!'
The three men looked up and found Natasha standing in front of them. She smiled at them and looked at Ved, - 'What would you like to have?' She asked sweetly and clicked on her pen. Ved smiled at her and she lowered her gaze. Aditya and Nihal's eyes darted from Ved to Natasha. Aditya then cleared his throat.
