A/N : Here we have the very first imagine! I hope you enjoy it @-chilwells!! I added some random friend names for the purpose of the storyline but I hope you like it nonetheless! Let me know what you think :)
A caramel colored leaf twirls from the sky and dances in the wind above me. I glide gracefully against the sidewalk as I near the dreaded destination of school. The building flashes in my eye as I round a bush-covered corner. The grey cement contrasts against the bright blue sky. Multiple teenagers wearing similar uniforms are flooding the front doors. The boys look stiff in their black tuxes, and the girls are dull in their patterned skirts. The only things that distinguish us, are our personalities, and physical features. I hate school.
My legs follow the tired teenagers. I finally reach the school steps and briskly jog up them, when I hear a familiar voice call my name.
"Lauren!"
My head whips around to find a classmate from last semester, smiling brightly at me. I should correct myself, she's a friend to everyone. I smile politely at her, like school friends do. She jogs up the steps just as i did and links her arm with my right one. Her breath is heavy, like she's excited.
"Did you hear the news?" She beams with a glowing curiosity.
I furrow my brows. "The cafeteria is serving chicken nuggets?"
"No silly! There's a new student in our grade and supposedly he's a footballer."
"No way." I roll my eyes. It's rare we ever get a new student, and for him to be a footballer? Thats even more rare. They usually go to the other prep school down the street, known for their millionaire alumni.
"I'm serious! I heard from Alicia."
"Yeah, because Alicia knows everything."
She opens the door for me and glares as I walk through. "She would know if a footballer was attending our school."
I stop to think about her words. "I guess your right. Did you get his name?"
"Unfortunately, no."
"Then my statement wasn't wrong." I chuckle.
"What're your classes?"
"Let me see." I step to the side of the hallway and sling my book bag from off my shoulder. I start to unzip my bag when a force suddenly slams against me, sending me into the cold tile floor. My bag flings against the ground and the contents spill out. My cheeks flush red in embarrassment. Teenagers walk past giggling to themselves. I groan and sit back on my knees.
"Lauren!? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." I grit my teeth.
I look up to try and find the person who ran into me, but all I see is a person running down the halls with their jacket flowing behind them.
"Did you see who ran into me, Lily?"
"No." She shakes her head frantically. Her blonde hair flows over her shoulders. "Sorry, they were too fast."
"It's okay." I sigh, picking up my papers and sliding them back into my bag. "Here's my schedule though."
She helps me up and takes the paper from my hands. Her eyes widen in happiness. "We have first together! I'll walk with you."
