A/N: Hey everyone! I hope you're having a WONDERFUL day! I want to go ahead and apologize if my writing isn't that great! It's been so long since I've made an imagine! I hope you all will enjoy it though! This one is for Tom_Lawrence10 !! I hope you like it girly! The idea just came to me and I went with it so I hope it's not too bad!
The mahogany hardwood floors echo with footsteps as multiple university students walk through the nearly silent library. My eyes scan the enormous room filled with packed shelves of books and tables where confused adults suffer through their homework. My teeth are stuck on the cap of my pen whilst I drift away from thinking about the packet of logarithms beneath my elbows. I could really use a Starbucks frappucino right about now.
I shake my head trying to get myself to focus. I stare down at the bright white paper and fix my eyes on the problem I've been stuck on for at least thirty minutes. I bite my lip. The numbers seep into my brain but I can't figure out the solution. My hands instinctively fling to my hair where they clutch onto the thick strands in frustration. I hate math. I lean back in my chair and sigh, making the girl beside me glance over. I send her a small apologetic smile and she just rolls her eyes. Friendly.
"You just need to move the exponent." A sudden deep voice says from beside me. I furrow my eyes and turn to the person now standing at my table. I tilt my head up and find a handsome face looking back at me. A blush crosses my cheeks as his perfectly crisp puppy dog brown eyes glisten under the fluorescent lights. He moves to the chair across from me and waits for me to allow him to sit. I nod my head and he smiles, gently setting his tall and lanky figure into the wooden chair. "I saw the problem as I was walking by...you looked kind of stuck so I thought I could help. I hope that's not weird."
He rubs the back of his neck nervously. A smile forms on my lips. He's cute.
"Right now, I need all the help I can get."
He chuckles, showing off his skinny dimples and slick jawline. "I love math. It's the only subject I am good at."
"Really?" I raise one of my sculpted brows. "Math is the only subject I suck at."
I smile for a second before adding, "Actually, I suck at science too."
"Me too." He leans forward. "I'm Tom by the way."
"I'm Lola."
He extends his hand for me to shake and I take it happily. We let go and he slides the packet towards him. "Can I see your pen?"
My eyes widen. "Uh, I don't know if you want too."
He furrows his eyebrows.
"I was biting on the cap..."
He laughs.
"Here you go." The girl from earlier hands him one. I glance at her with a disgusted expression.
So now she's nice.
"Thanks." He smiles thankfully at her.
"You did a great job at the game yesterday, by the way." She bites her lip.
Game? Is he an athlete?
"Thank you." He awkwardly gulps. He runs his hand through his gelled, dark brown hair before continuing. "It was a tough match but very fun."
"You're awesome." She blushes. "Can I get a picture with you?"
"Sure." He forces a smile. She runs to him and they take a selfie whilst I stare in confusion.
