I'M SO SORRY GUYS FOR THE LATE UPDATE! I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS CHAPTER.
The next day, Travis and I stopped by a weapon store before going on the quest.
I was walking through the store when I spotted a specific weapon. It was a Claw like weapon.
"Oh that? That's the Pugilists Knuckles." The shopkeeper said. "It is said if you punch so fast your fist turns into flames so powerful that their heat can even melt a sword. This weapon also possess a fire ward which stops them from burning from the flame."
"Can I try it on!?" I exclaimed and the shopkeeper nodded with a chuckle.
I tried it on and it fit me pretty nicely. It didn't feel heavy, and I felt I could punch anything with it.
I looked up to Travis, my eyes sparkling with delight.
"I'll take this and this sword." He said as he held out a blood red sword.

"So what does the bear look like?" I asked Travis as we were walking around in the woods, and he showed me the request paper. It had an image of a terrifying tall bear with huge fangs and sharp claws. I shivered.
"Well I hope these are enough to protect me." I said as I guestured towards my new weapon.
We then heard a rustle in the bushes. We quickly took stance ready for a fight, but all that came out was a tiny little cub.
"Awwww." I said as Travis dropped from his stance.
"I guess no matter how scary the grown ones are, baby cubs are adorable. Just like you." Travis said with a wink."Oh come on it's not time to flirt! If the cub is here the mother must be around..." I trailed off as I heard a growl from behind us.
We quickly jumped back and the bear growled at us.
"Well there it is." I said as it came pounding towards us.
Both Travis and I dodged it and we both took stance. It lunges at Travis first, and Travis swung his sword, slitting it's eye in the process.
It howled in pain as we did rest of the job. (Sorry I don't want to write about the bear dying ;-;)

After we gave the bears fur to the man in the inn lobby, Travis and I fist bumped each other.
"That was actually so cool!" I exclaimed and Travis nodded with a smile.
"So. Wanna head to the town and maybe go to a café for lunch?" He asked me and I smiled.
"Sure!" I exclaimed.
"Great! Now let's get on with our date." Travis exclaimed as I blushed in surprise.
"W-wait. A date!? Me and... you!?" I stuttered and he nodded enthusiastically.
"Going to a café with just the 2 of us. What is there not to call a date!" He exclaimed.
"Fine. Just this once." I said and he smirked grabbing my arm and already ready to go.
"Come on! Today will be fun!"
After we took a walk down the beautiful town with some joking around and me almost pushing Travis into the lake, we arrived at a café.
The café was pink and it looked very cute compared to the bars all around, so Travis and I entered the store.
"Welcome!" A voice said as I turned to see a girl with pink hair standing in an apron.
"A table for 2." Travis said and the girl smiled as she led us to our table which was by the window showing us a nice view of the town.
"Hi! I'm Nana and I will be serving your table today." She said with a bright smile. "What would you like?"
"2 coffees and 2 café classic sandwiches please." Travis said ordering for me.
"Is that all?" Nana asked and we nodded so she left and walked towards the back, smiling to a customer with jet black hair that covered an eye, a mask and was wearing black.
"Well that's one thing that ruins the cute atmosphere here." I said and Travis looked at who I was staring and laughed.
"Hey Katelyn. What time do you have to go back to heaven?" Travis asked and I sighed in annoyance at the pick up line.
"What? Are you calling me dead. Cause I sure as hell am real." I said giving him a pinch.
"Ouch!" He exclaimed. "Yes you're real and I am glad, but I meant it as you look as beautiful as an angel."
I rolled my eyes as our coffee and sandwiches came.
We chatted about so many things as we drank our coffe and ate our lunch.
It was really nice. The smell of the coffee, the view of the beautiful city, the sandwich was really delicious and talking to Travis was actually really fun.
After sitting in the café for a while after talking, we decided it was time to leave.
"Thank you so much! That was really good!" I exclaimed and Nana smiled and thanked me.
"Do you run this place by yourself?" Travis asked and she nodded.
"Zane, who is sitting over there," she said guesturing to the dark customer, "often helps me out, but he's not so good with... people so he helps me out in the kitchen! Though today it wasn't as busy so he came as a customer."
I nodded in understanding as I smiled at Nana.
"Thanks again! We'll probably come back some time." I said as we paid her and as we were going through the door, I could faintly hear someone say,
"I ship it."

After leaving the café, Travis and I decided to take another walk.
It was fun. Though I could tell Travis had the urge to pickpocket at times, he surpressed it and talked to me.
It was lots of fun, until I spotted someone with a familiar mess of blond hair.
He was a bit far away, and I stood there in shock for a bit before I started sprinting towards the person.
'Garroth!' Was the only persons name I could think of as I sprinted towards the figure, my hopes being lifted.
I ran around a corner and was almost caught up, so I dropped down to a walk and was approaching him when the figure turned around.
It wasn't Garroth. Heck he didn't look anything like him at all! Not the clothing, his eyes were black, he had freckles and a mischievous grin.
The only thing that was similar was the blond mess. I dropped my out reached hand and turned around my hopes being shattered and stepped upon.
I felt like crying. I'm alone... So why did I believe that Garroth was alive and here right now? He's gone! And I have to accept that.
Travis caught up to me and started to question me but I shook my head.
"Let's... go back."
Hey guys! I'm so sorry that I was late... I have 5 Christmas concerts coming up and so much homework too. Everything is a mess and I apologize ;-;
