I'm so sorry! I thought I published this yesterday but I forgot to click publish... 😅 I'm sorry it's late but here we go.
Travis and I were sitting at our table, eating breakfast together. Nana was really nice, and was easy to talk to. Not to mention she was our age.
After coming to the shop a few times her and I have become friends.
She was wearing a cute maid dress today, and I thought it suited her pretty nicely. Not to mention it was pink. The colour of her hair.
"Zane! Can you come clean the table?" She asked the dark person, Zane she called him, who was in the back.
"My hands are full right now!" He exclaimed from the back.
"There's no other customers! There's nothing to do in the back!" She exclaimed.
"I'm washing the dishes!" He exclaimed and she rolled her eyes.
"I washed all of them stop making excuses and come out!"
"Well not without my mask in this uniform! Can I at least wear my mask!?" He asked.
"Yeah whatever just come out! You're making a scene!" She yelled as Zane came out wearing a butler suit and his mask.
I swear I saw Nana blush. I couldn't tell that much though because she was a bit far away from where we were.
"Why do I have to wear this stupid outfit!" He exclaimed, clearly not amused.
"I think it suits you nicely." She said. As Zane blushed and hid his face further in the mask. Zane mumbled something but I couldn't hear it. I'm assuming he said 'Suits you too.' Judging by how Nana blushed even more.
"Come on. Hurry and clean the table." She said quickly and Zane nodded as he went back to work.
Nana came back to our table with an apologetic smile. "Sorry for all the commotion."
"Oh no don't worry about it." Travis said.
"We don't mind it. It's really calming here." I added on to Travis.
"Say." I said as I pulled her close to me. "Are you and Zane going out?" I whispered in her ear with a grin and Nana looked at me in shock. She quickly shook her head and I laughed. "Well I think you guys should."
Nana blushed. "I have to tend to the other customers!" She exclaimed as she ran to her 'customers.' Which basically wasn't true because we were the only ones.
Travis gave me a questioning look but I just laughed and said it was nothing.
"Anyways," He said, "since we've been in Falcon Claw for a while, maybe we should set out to another town. For a new adventure. You know?"
I nodded with a grin on my face. "Yeah that sounds fun! Which town do you want to go to?"
"I'm not sure. Maybe we could just travel around and have fun." He said.
"I'd love that. In my castle, my father wouldn't let me go anywhere so this is so exciting!" I exclaimed.
Travis looked at me weirdly.
"What?" I asked him.
"Did you say... your castle?"
"Oh!" I exclaimed quickly realizing my mistake. "Oops. Um... I meant my house. I-I... I always pretended I lived in a castle ever since I was little, so I said it by accident." I said quickly covering it up as best as I could.
"Oh! Um. Okay?" He said still sounding confused, and he probably doesn't believe me completely.
~~~~~~~~~~
After getting home I went to the washroom, and banged my head against the wall.
Why did I make such a mistake like that? And that cover up wasn't even that great! Someone like me wouldn't call their house a castle just because they called it so ever since they were little!
I'm just hoping he doesn't pick up on anything because I'm not sure what he'd do if he found out. I doubt that he would do anything, it's just that I want to play it safe.
I sighed and left the washroom to once again, be greeted with a questioning look but I brushed it off.
"So... when do you think we should leave?" I asked Travis and he thought for a moment.
"We could stay here for a bit more because I'm going to miss that café, and then we can head out in maybe a few days?" He asked me and I nodded.
"That's sounds good. We don't have much to pack anyways." I agreed.
~~~~~~~~~~~
It was the day to leave Falcon Claw. I had already stopped by and said goodbye to Aaron and Aphmau. We were now at the café saying goodbye to Nana and Zane.
"Bye guys! You better get married!" I exclaimed to them as they both blushed a deep shade of red.
"Katelyn!" Nana exclaimed and I chuckled as I walked away with Travis.
"I'm going to miss this town." I said and Travis laughed.
"Yeah I'm going to miss this town too. But we can come back some other time."
"Yeah. I loved that café, and the scenery that you could see from it! Not to mention to people were super nice!"
"Aaaaaand it was super easy to pickpocket all the people." He said as he held a wallet that I hadn't realized before, in his hand. "Oh hey look! That person had a lot of money."
"Travis!" I exclaimed smacking his head.
"I can't help it! I'm a pickpocket! If I see a wallet I can't help but take it." He said tossing the wallet in his bag.
I shook my head but gave up on getting mad at him any further. It was no use anyways. "So where are we going?"
"Keswerk. It's a town near O'khasis." He said.
I recognized it. It was a small town on the south of O'khasis.
"Sounds nice! Any reason why?" I asked him and he laughed.
"Not really. It's just I've never been there so I want to go there." He said and I rolled my eyes but smiled.
"Sounds fun. Off to Keswerk!"
