The Song

Jack's POV

I woke up the next morning with Zach shaking me.

"Bro wake up. We have music to work on", he said.

"Okay", I say and yawn when I get up.

Zach walks out of the room and I get up and go to the restroom. I wash my hands then brush my teeth.

I take a shower and put on a white t-shirt, black jeans, and white vans.

I walk downstairs where the others are and they are all sitting down at the table. I see Logan down there too.

"Took you long enough", Zach said laughing while I take a bite of my apple.

I smile then sit down.

"Hey guys", I say.

"Okay so you guys want something different for a new song right? No pun intended", Logan said.

We all nodded.

"We really need some new songs", I say.

"Well I think that we should add a vibe feel to a new song", Corbyn says.

"Or maybe we could do acapella in one", Zach says.

"I was thinking we could feature someone in a song. Like a girl", Logan says.

"Oooh yeah", we all say liking the sound of that.

"But who", Jonah asks.

"Wait can't Camryn sing?" Zach asks.

"Yeah but good luck asking her if she will", Jonah says.

We all laugh.

We all sit there and think. Then Daniel speaks up.

"Wait. Can't Amber sing? Remember when we went out to eat and when we were on the bus she was singing?" Daniel says.

"Yeah", We all say.

"She's really good", I said gushing over her.

"Then it's settled. Call Amber", Logan says.

I nod and get up to call her. The phone starts ringing and then she answers.

"Hello?" She says.

I smile. "Hey Amber, whatcha doing?"

"I'm working out at the gym. What about you?" She asks.

"I'm working. Can you be over in an hour", I say getting to the point.

"Sure. See you then", she says.

"Bye", I say. Then she hangs up.

I walk back into the kitchen. "She'll be over in an hour", I say.

"Cool" Logan says.

"Let's just hope she says yes", Daniel says.

"Hopefully", I say.

Amber's POV

I got up at eight to go work out until eleven. I do my hair in a high bun and I put on some Nike work out clothes. I take some mirror selfies then go downstairs to get a leftover salad.

Camryn then comes downstairs.

"Good morning", I say smiling at her.

"Morning good", she says.

I look at her and see that she is already dressed. Camryn is almost never up this early unless she has to, or to watch Netflix or something.

"Where are you going?" I ask her curious.

"Oh Christina and I are going to get some candles", she says suspiciously.

"Um okay", I say.

Christina comes down the stairs. "Are you ready?"

Camryn nods.

"Bye Amber", they say walking out the door.

"Bye", I say. "Weird", I say after a few moments of silence.

I throw the now empty salad bowl away and I drive to the gym. First I get gas because obviously my gas is low then I head to the gym.

I decide to work on abs, legs, and cardio today. As I'm lifting weights I get a call from Jack.

"Hello", I say.

"Hey Amber, whatcha doing", Jack says.

"I'm working out at the gym. What about you?" I ask.

"I'm working. Can you be over in an hour?"he says getting to the point. I have no idea why Jack would want me over while he's working but okay.

"Sure see you then", I say.

"Bye",he says.

When I hang up I work out for five more minutes then I leave the gym. I wonder again why Jack wants me over there but it doesn't matter.

I head home and I get ready. Christina and Camryn still aren't back yet. Weird.

I take a shower and put on a white top with a light-blue jean jacket, blue jeans, a white choker, and white sneakers. I do wear my hair in it's natural curls and I put on lip gloss.

I then leave to head to the boy's house. When I get there I see Logan's car and the door to the house is already open so I just walk in.

"Hey guys", I say walking in the kitchen.

"Hey", they say smiling at me.

I sit down next to Jack and I hug him and every one starts staring at me.

"What? Is there something on my face", I ask getting my phone out to look on the camera.

Jack laughs that cute laugh of his. "No. We just need to ask you something."

"Um okay", I say sitting up, "what is it."

"So we need some new music. And on one of the songs we want a female featured on it. So we were thinking about you since you can sing very well", Daniel says.

Every one looks at me hopefully.

"Um no", I say.

"Why not", Jack asks.

"Because I'm not even that good and I don't want to put my voice out there", I say uncomfortably.

"Amber, you're an amazing singer. I've heard you sing in the car. You're great", Jack says grabbing my hand seeing I'm shutting down.

"Um no. When I was fifteen, I performed at my school talent show. I sung. Long story short I got booed off the stage. So no", I say like that's that.

"Amber I'm sorry that happened. And even if you don't want to do the song, I don't want you thinking that you're a bad singer. You're amazing", Jack says. Then he kisses my forehead.

I give it some thought and everybody looks at me.

"Okay I'll do the song", I say giving in.

"Wayhoooo", they all yell in unison. I laugh and we do a group hug.

"Thank you", they all say when we let go.

"No problem", I say smiling.

We all then start working on the song with Logan blogging a little bit.

I can't believe that I just agreed to this.
