Departure

Amber's POV

"All done", I say when I'm done packing up my clothes. I stand and look around my room.

Jack walks in and hugs me.

"I'm gonna miss you", I say in his arms.

"Me too", he says and we let go.

We smile at each other. He grabs my things and I grab my purse and we walk out of my house to my car.

Camryn, Christina, Mariah, and Piper are waiting in the car already. Jack puts my bags in the trunk and we drive to the airport. We walk in and check in and go through security.

"What time does your flight leave", Jack asks me as we're walking to the gate.

"In about ten minutes", I say looking at my phone.

We arrive at the gate and we see my family and the boys.

I smile and walk up to them and hug them.

"We love you Amber", my mom says.

"Yes, stay safe", my dad says smiling.

"I love you mom and dad", I say hugging them again.

I hug my brothers goodbye.

"I love you", I say to them.

Then I see walk up to Christina and hug her.

"I love you best friend", I say to her.

"I love you too best friend", she says to me.

We let go and I wipe a tear.

"I'll see you soon", I say.

She smiles. "Okay."

I hug Camryn.

"I love you so much little sister. Have fun and stay safe", she says to me.

"I love you too. I will", I say and we let go.

"The good part is, my house is done being built. So I'm moving out", she laughs.

I laugh lightly as the tears roll down my face.

She wipes them. We hug one more time.

"Call me when you land", she says.

"I will", I say.

I walk over to Mariah and hug her. 

"I'm gonna miss you and your pictures so much", I say laughing and sniffing at the same time. 

"I'm gonna miss you too", she laughs lightly. 

We let go and I walk over to Piper and hug her. 

"We've been through so much and I'm so happy to call you a friend", I say when we let go. 

"I'm happy that you're my friend too", she says smiling while wiping her tears.

I walk over to the guys and I hug Jonah, Zach, Corbyn, and Daniel.

"Thanks you guys. I love you", I say to them.

"We love you too", they say smiling.

Then I see Jack and I hug him for the longest. When I hug him I close my eyes. I think of everything we've been through together. The stupid videos we've made, the adventures we've had, him sticking to my side no matter what.

"I can't do this", I say still holding on to him. 

"Yes you can and you will", he responds. 

We stay hugging for two minutes.

"I love you so so much Jack. You are the best thing that's happened to me. Thank you for sticking by me through everything and supporting me to achieve my dreams. I love you", I say to him with my head on his shoulder.

"I love you too Amber. I love you more than you can imagine. You've made me a better person and enabled me to love like I didn't know I could. You will forever be the best thing I've ever had", he says.

We let go and I wipe my tears away. Jack takes my hands away from my face and wipes them for me.

"I have some good news", he says.

"What is it", I ask.

"The song we recorded will be coming out soon", he smiles.

I smile and hug him again. He kisses me on the forehead.

The loud speaker says that it's time to start boarding.

I hug everyone one last time and board the plane. I look back and they wave at me. I wave back and mouth "I love you" to Jack.

"I love you too", he mouths back.

I smile and turn back around and board the plane.

I sit at the window seat and put my carry on under the seat in front of me.

I look down at my promise ring and smile. I twist it and look out the window.

The plane takes off and I smile.
