Dallas Winston Little Sister // Ponyboy & Johnny

Chapter 4

Ponyboy and I walked into the movie, we were watching a beach movie. Ponyboy got us a popcorn and coke. During the movie I need to go the bathroom.

"Pony. I'm gonna go to the bathroom ok?"

"Ok."

When I walked into the bathroom there were a ton of Soc girls in there doing their make up. They all laughed at me. Then they called me a greaser. Us greasers don't care if we call each other greasers but if someone that isn't a greaser calls us that then it's a big deal. When they left I used the bathroom and washed my hands. I started walking towards the movies when I saw something. I went towards it. It was nothing I might have been imagining things. I walked back into the movie. The movie was at the part when the guy saves the girl from the water. I turned my head and saw the most horrifying thing in the world.

Some girl was kissing Ponyboy. My heart dropped to my stomach. I tried to say something but nothing came out. I ran out of the movie theatre and went back home. Of course I took the long way. Tears were coming down my face. Now I was by the railroad tracks. I remember that I was still wearing Pony's jean jacket. I set it down on the railroad track and wrote a note. For sure Ponyboy would come this way when he found out I wasn't coming back.

After I did that I started walking again. I came upon these Soc boys. They were making fun of me because of my dad.

"Hey Hannah how's your daddy been?" One of them asked.

"Yea. What about Dally? He still on probation?"

"Leave my brother out of this." I said.

"Nah were good." one said.

"I swear you talk about my family one more time and I'll beat the crap out of you guys."

With that I walked away. I passed Darry's house. Good thing they didn't see me. When I got to my house I knocked on the door. And of course Dally opened it. He looked at me. My eyes were red and puffy. I ran into his arms. I hugged him and it took him a second for him to hug me back.

"Geez Hannah where you been?" He asked.

"Please don't be mad at me Dally."

"I won't but let's talk inside, people are starting to look at us. Hop on." he said

I put my feet on his and he literally walked me in. He set me down on the bed. Dally wiped off my eyes. All I did was hug him.

"Come on Bells, tell me what's wrong." Dally said

Dally always called me Bells when we were alone. Bells is my middle name. Hannah Bells Winston. My dad gave me my middle name. He always wanted that to be a first name but my mom wanted me to be named Hannah.

"Bells tell me where you were." Dally said

"I was at the m-movies with Ponyboy."

"Jesus Christ Hannah I told you not to go out with Ponyboy. You just don't listen."

"I'm sorry. Dally." I said starting to cry again.

"Tell me why you're crying."

"Well everything was going alright until I came back from the bathroom. When I came back I saw that this girl was kissing P-Ponyboy."

"See what I told you. I told you he would break your heart. Come here." he said opening his arms for a hug.

I gladly accepted. He laid me down on my bed and I laid down looking at my pillow. I thought I knew Ponyboy, but I guess I don't.

(Ponyboy's P.O.V.)

I was watching the movie when Mandy came over and kissed me. Mandy was this girl who liked me. She asked me out a few times but I said no to all of them because I liked Hannah. When she kissed me I didn't feel anything. I just sat there while she kissed me. I didn't even kiss back. All I was thinking about was Hannah.

I pulled away when I heard someone closing the movie door. I knew it was Hannah. She might have saw us kiss. I ran out the door and ran towards Hannah. She was to far away and I was getting really tired. I was walking through the railroad tracks when I saw a jean jacket. It was the one I gave Hannah the other night. I picked it up and saw a note.

Dear Ponyboy

I saw you kissing a girl in the movie theater. She's probably your girlfriend. I guess I got mixed signals from it. I'm sorry if I put you in this position. I won't bother you again.

Love Hannah.

After I read the note I started walking home. I knew there was nothing to do but to apologize. When I got home Darry and Soda just looked at me.

"Back so soon?" Darry asked

"Yea." I said

"But why?"

"Hannah caught me kissing another girl." I said

"Stupid. We told you to be good to her." Soda said

"I was, but then Mandy just came up to me and kissed me."

"Did you tell her that." Darry asked

"No. I didn't get the change to. She ran out before I could tell her anything."

"You better hope that Dally doesn't find out about this. If he does he'll kill you." Soda said

(Dally P.O.V.)

I was so mad at Ponyboy right now. He knew what was coming his way. If he hurt my little sister he was going to die. I told Hannah I would be right back.

"I'll be right back Hannah. I'm going out."

"Where you going?" she asked

"I just need to take care of some business."

"And your leaving me here alone?"

"Only for an hour okay." I said hugging her.

"Okay."

"Now don't do anything stupid. Promise."

"Dally I ain't a little kid anymore."

I drove down to Darry's house. When I got there I slammed the car down. I opened the gate and also opened the door.

"PONYBOY WHERE ARE YOU?!"  I yelled.

"Dally?" Soda asked

I just pushed him out of my way and was about to grabbed Ponyboy but Darry was in my way.

"Dally calm down. Ponyboy didn't do anything wrong." Darry said.

"Yes he did. He made Be...... Hannah cry. Now I gotta kill him for that."

"Dally let me explain." Ponyboy said.

"You shut you mouth." I said.

"Dally let him explain." Darry said.

"Fine."

"Okay. Hannah and I were walking to the movies. Then when the she need to go to the bathroom Mandy came over to me. And kissed me. I promise I didn't kiss back. All I was thinking about was Hannah. The kiss didn't mean anything to me." Ponyboy said.

"Fine I won't kill you. This time. But if I hear Hannah say something about you one more time i'll kill you."

"That won't be a problem. Hannah's probably mad at me anyways."

"She is. But when you see her at school you better apologize to her."

"I'll try."
