Chapter 55

Johnny and I walked hand and hand all the way down to the tattoo shop. We walked around the corner and saw Loony Larry's Tattoo shop. I stopped walking.

"Hannah? Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine. Just... Just nervous."

"Don't be. I'm right here next to you." I looked at him and still didn't more. "Hannah. There's nothing to be afraid of, you are friends with this guy. Dally says that you grew up with him."

"Yeah I did. But he's kinda crazy. And....."

"And no what. Just come on it'll be fun."

"But it'll hurt. You know what I forgot that I have homework to do." I said turning around.

Johnny ran right in front of me. "Are you backing out? Is my girlfriend scared of getting a tattoo?"

"N-No why would you think that?"

"Come on. There's nothing to be afraid of. It's all going to be alright."

I looked at him and at the shop. "Ok then... Let's do this."

Johnny grabbed my hand and we started walking into the shop. Music blasted from inside the store. I looked around and there were many cool designs painted on the walls. "Hannah? Hannah Winston?" I heard behind me. I saw this really buff guy with a black beard and crazy black hair. He had tattoos all over his body. From hearts to dragons.

"Loony Larry." I said excited. I went up to him and hugged him.

"Oh my god it's been forever. How old are you now?"

"I'm 15."

"Wow are you really? Damn I haven't seen you since you were in diapers. Hey how's old Dally?"

"He's great. What about Petunia?"

"She's having a baby soon."

"Really. We'll congrats. It is a boy or a girl?"

"Both we're having twins, and I want you to be the godmother."

"Really me? Wow. I would love to."

"Thanks Hannah and who's this fine fella over here? I've never seen him before in my life? Is he a friend? Cousin? Or what?"

"Loony Larry this is Johnny Cade. Johnny this is Loony Larry. Larry, Johnny is my boyfriend."

"We'll Johnny let me just tell you you have a wonderful girl as your girlfriend. You should have seen her when she younger. She was crazy just like Dal, but she never got into trouble. People thought she was adopted but she isn't. She is 100% Dal's flesh and blood."

"Yeah I'm know I got a wonder girl. I love her to death."

"Ok then. We'll I know that you're not here to talk. So what can I do for you wonderful couple?"

"We'll for Christmas Dal gave me this paper and he said if I wanted a tattoo that I could come here and you would give it to me for free."

"Hell yeah I would. So what kind of tattoo do you want?"

"We'll Johnny and I wanted a couple tattoo. Where we have the same tattoo to show people that were dating."

"That's cute. We'll do you want it big or small. We'll tell me the design of the tattoo you want."

"Can we get on that has a X and an O? Johnny wanted the X and I want the O."

"Ok then just sit down on those chairs and I'll be in there in a few minutes."

Johnny grabbed my hand and we walked into the room. There was all the tools that you need to get a tattoo. I was scared to death. "Hannah if it makes you feel better I'll go first."

"You sure?"

"Yes. I'm sure. It's can't hurt that bad."

I nodded my head he sat down on the chair and I sat on a wooden chair right next to him. He looked at me and leaned in to kiss me. When his lips touched mine I kissed him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his hands on my cheeks. I smiled through the kiss.

"Ahem. Sorry to interrupt but I gotta get started." Loony Larry said.

We pulled away and I giggled. Johnny sat back down on the chair. "Ok where do you want the 'X' at."

Johnny pointed right under his thumb. Loony Larry started doing his tattoo. Johnny winced in pain. "Stop it you're hurting him!!!!" I screamed

"No no no. Hannah it's alright. I'm fine. I'm used to the pain." Johnny said.

"I don't care if you're used to the pain. I don't want you to be in pain. Don't you understand."

"I'm done." Loony Larry said

"What already?" I asked

"Yeah. It's small and simple."

I grabbed Johnny's hand and looked at it. It was a small X just right under his thumb. I smiled at him. "Don't worry Hannah I'm alright. I only felt a pinch. That's all."

"I'm so glad you alright Johnny."

"Yeah yeah yeah. Johnny's alright. Come on. Hannah your turn." Loony Larry said.

I went and sat down on the chair. He changed the needle and started. Johnny was right I only felt a pinch. In five minutes time he was done. "See it wasn't that bad was it?" Johnny asked.

"No I guess not." I said looking at it. "Thanks Loony Larry."

"No problem. If you want anymore just come back ok?"

"Ok." Johnny and I both said.

We walked out of the shop and started walking towards the Curtis. "Now everyone will know that you're mine." Johnny said kissing my forehead and pulling me close to him.

When we got to the Curtis house we went inside. Once we were inside I ran to Dally and hugged him. Dally did nothing he just stood there.

"Can someone get this thing off of me?" Dally asked

"DALLY!!!" I said

"I'm kidding. Now what do you want?"

"We'll Johnny and I got our tattoos."

"Really let us see." Soda said.

Johnny grabbed my hand and while everyone was looking at our hands and our tattoos I noticed Ponyboy watching us. I saw a tear come down his cheek. When he noticed that I was looking he went to his room.

"Hey Hannah you ok?" Johnny asked

"Uh... Yeah i'm fine." I lied
