Dallas Winston Little Sister // Ponyboy & Johnny

Chapter 24

(Ponyboys P.O.V)

We were in Dally's car diving back of the church. I took out a cancer stick. Then when I was reaching in my pocket from the lighter I saw the church was on fire.

"Whoa what happened?" Johnny asked

"Wonder how that started." I said

"Jesus Chirst." Dally said

He drove over tone church. Little kids were there. Before the car stopped I jumped out. I heard Johnny and Dally telling me to come back. Then a lady told a guy that kids were missing. I heard a faint scream coming from the church. I ran over to the church. The guy came running after me. Then Johnny came. He help me try to find a way through. Then Johnny threw a rock threw the window. We grabbed the pieces of wood and threw them. I went in first then Johnny. You could hardly see anything when you first got in there. It was full of smoke. And it looked like the celing was going to come down any minute. Something flew by.

"What was that?" I asked "is that guy coming?"

"No." Johnny said

"How come? He to scared?"

"No he's to fat."

He looked everywhere for the kids. Until we found them in a room. We saw Dally breaking the wood apart so we could get the kids out. One by one. A kid bit me. Ow.

"Johnny!" Dally and I yelled

"Get out the roof." Dally said looking at the roof. "Johnny come on you crazy."

A piece of wood that was on fire hit my arm. But I didn't see it.

"You're burning." Dally yelled at me.

Dally kept trying to pull me back inside but I wanted to help Johnny. Then when a piece of wood that was on fire came down on Johnny Dally pulled me out. He put me on the floor. I was almost out but I heard Dally say.

"Jesus Christ Stupid Kid. Why don't you think what Hannah would do if you died in there. You lucky I pulled you out in time."

I heard Johnny screaming. It was so sad. I wanted to help him but I couldn't. Dally went inside to get Johnny. I was knocked out by then. When I woke up I was in a car. An ambulance. The guy was sitting next to me.

"Johnny Dallas?" I started getting up

The fat guy put me back down. "There alright. There right behind us. There in another ambulance."

"What about Hannah?" I asked

"Who?"

"My girlfriend."

"I don't know who she is but you 3 are the most bravest kids I've seen. What are you professional hero's or something?"

"Were Greasers." I said

"Are you kidding me?"

"No I ain't kidding you. Take me to town you'll found out pretty fast."

When we got there. I waited in the waiting room. The fat dude said it wasn't ok for me to smoke. I never that I was to young for it. But oh we'll. Then I turned my head and saw Soda. I ran to him and gave him a hug.

(Hannah's P.O.V)

We got to the hospital. Soda was the first one threw the door. Then Darry then me. Soda looked all around for Pony but couldn't find him. Then when he turned the corner I heard crying. I decided to stay by the corner while they all hugged. Darry was crying. It was so sad but happy at the same time. Then I saw Pony looking at me. I smiled. I ran into his arms. He looked terrible. Part of his face was black and his hair. Wait his hair is always black. I took a close look.

"Oh Ponyboy." I said kinda sadly

"What?"

"You're hair."

"Johnny make me bleach it. I don't like it but..."

"But I do." I said before he could finish his sentence.

He smiled then kissed me. We got pulled apart by Soda. I looked around and I didn't see Dally. Were the heck could he be?

"Have you seen Dally?" I asked Pony

"Yea. The church was on fire and he went in to save Johnny. That's all I remember."

"Oh my gosh. Is he going to be alright?"

"Yea. He's not as bad as Johnny."

"What's wrong with Johnny?" I was scared

"Something fell on his back. And it was on fire."

"Oh my god Johnny."

"Come on guys we need to get home. Hannah do you want to spend the night?" Darry asked

"No. Um. I want to go back home. In the morning I'll go to your house so we can see Dally and Johnny."

"Ok. We'll drop you off."

We got into the car. It was a 10 minute drive to my house. Pony fell asleep in my lap. He looked cute when he was sleeping. When we got to my house I didn't get out. Soda and Darry looked at me.

"Um aren't you going to get out?"' Soda asked

"I would but Pony sleeping on my lap."

"Just lift his head off and set it back down. Simple. Plus Pony is a heavy sleeper."

I kissed his forehead and did what Soda told me to do. I watched as they drove off. Then when I went inside no one was there. Besides Buck and one of his friends. When I shut the door they looked at me. Buck walked over to me.

"Hey Trouble Maker where you been?"

He didn't see me crying. Until I started making noises. Crying noises. "Hannha you ok?"

I shook my head. "What happened?"

"Dal-Dally is in the H-Hospital."

"Oh my gosh Hannah. I'm so sorry I didn't know." He hugged me

"I just hope he's ok."

"He will be. Don't forget Dally is one strong son of a bitch."

I laughed. "I better go to sleep. I gotta see Dally and Johnny in the morning."

"Ok. Night Trouble Maker."

"Night Bucky."
