A soft ring resounded in the area, opened eyes looked around the pure white room. A white rose at my feet, I began to bend down to touch the gentle petals but I retracted reminding myself that this purity doesn't exist anymore.
Tears pricked at my eyes knowing that I'm the stain on this pure area "My dazzling little girl..." I heard the gentle words and had turned my body to see my mother bent over with a smaller version lying in her lap. "One day you'll meet your Prince Charming and he'll take you far away from this land." Her (e/c) eyes shimmered as tears kept pouring.
The small child had vanished as I sobbed making my own mother look over at me. She smiled down at me, getting on her knees wiping my tears. The glistening blue dress matched her gentle eyes "My beautiful little girl Y/n...you have grown up so much. I'm so proud of you for still living on and not throwing your life away due to your circumstances. You are so strong..."
Her soft voice gave me comfort as I kept sobbing "You'll never amount to anything.." Marianne's voice whispered against my ear as she rested her chin on my bare shoulder. Her arms wrapping around my waist, constricting me from the light once more being the Devil on my shoulder.
"My little Princess Y/n, I'll give you the world if you had asked it of me." My true mother kept wiping the tears away "My little pawn Y/n, I could command you to destroy the world with your own hands and you'd do it." Marianne's voice laced with poison, I shook my head as I kept trembling. This was like a double edged sword: the words I wanted to hear from my mother versus what I actually heard from Marianne.
Every word that my mother said I wanted to listen to but it was drowned out by Marianne. "You are so beautiful, my child." "You are so pathetic, Y/n." Which one was the lie I actually lived..? My tears had hit the white ground beneath me and the ground started turning black. "Shut up....be quiet...!!!!! I can't take it anymore....please...." I covered my ears and they both vanished closing my eyes tightly letting the darkness sink in. But in the midst of it all, red roses started blooming all around in an empty dark place like this. I opened my eyes to see all of this, another simple illusion before me that won't make sense until later in the future like before. I went to touch one of them but ended up cutting my finger on the thorns.
My vision was blurred with tears but I realized that I had bled black. I was entirely tainted to the point that my own blood was completely black. "You'll end up just like me Y/n. You are no longer the same girl that I had broken in my grasp." Marianne had leaned in front of me with the sly smile that I had the most that went horrifically well with the ruby red lip stick she always wore.
