Part 5

Wow.. You had no words... You always wanted to get back fighting nasty monsters again.
"What about me being a piolet" I asked.
Stacker stood up from his seat and started walking around the room.
"We haven't had any decent piolet in about 5 years, we need you again" we said sighing looking out into the blizzard outside his widow.
"I'm not as good as I used to be" I said.
"You don't know that" he said.
"You can only know if you test yourself and do all the training you might need".
I looked down at my feet.
"I don't want to let people down".
Stacker turned around and looked at me.
"Miss.Pickles, many of the people in the Jeager program alone adore you, you have represented us, fought for us, and you have destroyed for us. You protect this world from danger" he said sternly.
My gut was filling with butterflies.
"Ill get back to you" I said standing up from my seat and dismissing myself.

I walked down the main hallway with all the dorms for the piolets. I walked up to "2-12" door number. Knocked twice and waited about 2 and a half seconds to meet a shirtless, sweating, Raleigh Becket.
He must have been working out or somthing.
"May I come in?" I asked.
He moved out of the way and closed the door behind me.
"What did he say?" Raleigh said while sitting beside me on his bed that still had the bottom he used to share with his brother.
"He wants me to go out again" I said looking down at my feet.
I didn't know what to think. It was all just racing through my mind. I couldn't think straight.
"Wow, how do you feel about that?"
He asked while turning more attention me.
"I honestly don't know, its all just a blur." I said while looking down at my feet.
"I'm always here you know that" Raleigh said putting his hand on my knee.
The touch scared me slightly. I looked up to see him looking at me.
God his eyes.
His perfect smile.
