Get To The Breach

Part 18

Having a level 4 was not the biggest worries. You got your suit on and tucked your hair into your helmet. Your hair was the length to your brode/wide shoulders. It was slightly curly from the braids you had had them in the night before. Your suit was black. You walked over to the head and behind you, there were still bunches of people watching and trying to figure who the "mystery piolet" was. It felt kind of cool to have a secret. Yet it was might end up being the worst thing that would ever happen.

The temperature in the head was slightly colder than usual but you didn't mind. You slid your helmet onto your head. you locked your feet into the chambers and stood up straight. the feeling was exhilarating, beyond exciting. You were a little nervous but that didn't mean anything, you kept focus and steadied yourself for impact. 

"Drift in 10 seconds," Tendo said quite quickly. 

you could hear the beeping from the outside of the head. counting down to let someone back into your thoughts. The last 5 seconds were a blur going into the drift.

Being introduced with all the same memories from before, I guess Glory was seeing the same ones I had again. I kind of was curious about what flashbacks she was seeing.

You were soon brought back to reality with the nudge probably from Glory.

"Ready?" you heard in the back of your head.

You knew she was there.

"Ready," I said back. 

The head suddenly dropped and the force of gravity brought you to the connection of the rest of the body. God, it felt powerful. You clenched your fists and the machine moved along in sync. The body dropped into the deep waters of the Pacific. Making your way to the peer. troughing through the rough waves of the storm above. 

You looked down at the radar and began to spot the monster that was coming your way. 

"Kaiju, 12 o'clock, about 1000 meters in front of you," Pentecost said through the radio.
