"Eye contact is way more intimate than words can ever be..."

It was Blaze's third day without doing anything reckless. Her parents were still busy pero maaga itong umuuwi. She can see that her parents are trying to reach out with her but as she have said, too late. Sa almusal at hapunan lamang niya ito nakikita, when she's not biking around the village, she's on her room, browsing the internet. Hangga't maaari ay umiiwas siya sa mga magulang niya. Alam naman niya sa na sa una lamang ito ganoon, afraid that she will do something again. Tapos na siya sa panahong kailangan niya ng atensyon ng mga ito, she learned how to be independent, adventurous and her life become more exciting.

Katulad ngayon, her parents were on the living room. Gusto niya sanang mahiga sa sofa at manood ng tv, but she can't do it dahil naroon ang mga ito. Kung lalabas naman siya upang magbisikleta ay madadaanan pa din niya ang mga ito.

"Bummer!"

She was about to stepped out and planning to go to her room when she heard them talk about her.

"Sa tingin mo ba sasama si Blessie?" her father asked.

She was leaning against the wall. Kaya hindi niya makikita ang mag facial expressions nito but she bet that it is again wary. They're always wary whenever it concerns her. What she did really created an impact to them.

"She should be, she's our daughter and it is a family dinner."

"Dinner?"

"And I really want to introduce her with Jax."

Her father's tone seems to be excited. "So, who is this Jax?"

"Yeah. The way you talked about him, gusto ko din siya makilala. Sayang at hindi ko siya naabutan noong isang araw."

"Isang araw?" Napaisip siya. Ang tinutukoy ba ng mga ito ay ang lalaking nakausap niya sa daan? She suddenly remembers the handsome face and intimidating aura. Jax. That's his name? She smiled naughtily. The name is as hot as the owner.

She cleared her throat making them aware of her presence, deliberately, ruining her plan. Compared than staying on her room, isn't it more exciting to join them especially when they are discussing something really, really, interesting?

Her parents uncomfortably look at her. She just raised her eyebrows and casually seat on the single seater sofa across them. She reached for the magazines on the round glass table between them. Five minutes has passed and they just look at her. She is holding the magazine in a way that it covered her face. Wala naman talaga siya balak magbasa. Gusto lang niyang makakuha ng iba pang inpormasyon kay Jax. Inis na tinupi niya ang magazine at binalik sa lamesa.

"Bakit ang tahimik niyo?" hindi nakatiis na tanong niya.

He father cleared his throat. "May pupuntahan tayo."

Napadiretso siya ng upo. Kinuha niya ulit ang magazine. Kunwari, patay malisya. "Saan?"

"Kaibigan siya ng tatay mo noong highschool. May dinner tayo kasama sila, mamayang gabi. We are hoping na sasama ka.." that's her mother.

"Sila?" she started opening he pages of the magazine without a clear thought in her mind. "Sino-sino sila?"

"My friend Mikhail, his wife Jacque .."

"Si Jax?"

"Bakit ako kasama?" tanong niya. "..eh wala naman pala yung siya?" dugtong niya sa isipan.
