The moment he kissed back he knew he had done a terrible thing. Pictures of Seulgi ran through his mind and regardless of what had happened that evening, there was no clear indicator that the two of them were done. For her it was a lovers quarrel and for him it was a realisation that he only liked the idea of her. The one thing that was certain, was the feeling of guilt that traveled through his veins as their lips parted.
However, the feeling of guilt was completely absent in Jennie's mind. All she could think of was how they were going to conclude the night.
"I can't do this." Jaebum couldn't even look at her. "You're not mine. I'm not yours."
"Mmh." Was all Jennie could muster out as a reaction to his sudden outburst.
"I'm sorry. I don't want to be stuck in this triangle which will leave at least three people heartbroken." Jaebum finally looked at her as she grabbed her shoes and got up.
"Thank you for the talk...I really needed it." Jennie said as normally as possible but on the inside she couldn't part with the idea that she had just gotten rejected. "I'll see you tomorrow morning...for our talk."
Looking at the time, she realised that it was 12am and she could hear the bunch of party goers getting out of the elevator after their Halloween night.
Jennie closed the door behind her as she sighed and rubbed her eyes a little, feeling like an idiot as she looked at her phone and left the boys dorms
"Is Jaebum okay?"
It was like someone had snapped their finger right in her ear as she looked up to find Seulgi, her makeup had mainly been smeared but she still looked the part. Jennie cleared her throat and quickly got her posture back.
"Sorry?" Jennie raised an eyebrow.
"You weren't with Jaebum just now?" Seulgi asked as Jennie shook her head.
"No...he wasn't opening his door to me. He just wanted to spend some time alone." Jennie lied through her teeth.
"Is he okay?!" Seulgi looked extremely worried as Jennie nodded.
"Yeah don't worry. He felt really bad about what he did, I told him it wasn't his fault—"
"It wasn't. It was mine." Seulgi sighed as Jennie directed her away from the boys dorm and towards the girls.
"It's not. It was a bad situation...that's all." Jennie put her arms around her.
That's when she realised why Jaebum had shut her out after they kissed, Seulgi was a good girl and to break her heart would be a tragic thing to do.
"I'm just glad he got home safely...I best be going then." Seulgi sighed.
"You're welcome to stay over at our dorm if you want—" Jennie told her as she shook her head.
"It's fine, my girls are probably already worried about where I am." Seulgi replied as they said goodbye to each other and walked their separate ways.
None of her girls were back from the party, so when she opened the door to their dorm, it was just peace and quiet. Sighing, Jennie went to wash her face and then got into the bathtub to relax and think about what had happened that evening.

Jennie woke up to heard the sound of vomiting from the bathroom and sighed as she got up and walked in to find Rosè and Lisa hungover.
"Ya, you did know it was a school night, right?" Sighed Jennie rubbing her eyes.
"Lisa had too much to drink last night." Sighed Rosè as she held Lisa's hair back.
