Jaebum hurried towards her, making sure Mino didn't try to come any closer but he just laughed at the sight of him. Whilst Skyler instead went the opposite way and back to the party.
"You again? Cmon this guys a complete wimp. Are you going to snitch me up like you did—"
"No but I am." They turned around to find Skyler had bought four security men with her and they went towards Mino who had no choice but to get back onto his motorcycle and flee.
"Good thinking..." Jaebum simply said as Jennie smiled at her. "But what was he doing here?"
"Someone must've told him what was going on...probably Bobby." Shrugged Jennie as Skyler waited for them to explain exactly what had just happened.
"So he wasn't just a random robber?"
"It's a long story." Jennie sighed as they went back in to find everyone waiting for them.
"Oh and Jennie? Jaebum wanted to ask you to dance." Skyler let out casually as Jaebum looked at her crazily before sighing and giving Jennie an awkward smile.
"Sure..."
"Well that's my job for the night done, enjoy your dance." Skyler left to go return to Mark and apologise for leaving him.
"I'm sorry for being so awkward..." Jaebum apologised as they began to dance together.
"It's honestly fine, it's been an awkward-ish night I guess?" Jennie smirked as they talked between themselves.
"Ahem—would you all like to make your way out onto the balcony for the fireworks display?" Mrs Kim announced through the microphone as they both stared at each other, realising they got to dance for like 5 seconds.
Without warning, Jennie casually grabbed Jaebum's arm and led him out to the balcony. "Quick, we need to get a good view before everyone else does!"
From afar, Nayeon smirked at the sight of the two of them being so close together and nudged Jinyoung who also smiled at the thought of his bestfriend being with someone. "You owe me 20 bucks, I told you they'd get together."
"Well they're just being good friends—" Jinyoung sighed thinking of the bet they made between themselves about whether or not Jenbum would happen tonight or not.
"If they kiss, you owe me another 19 bucks."
"We'll see."
"Let's take a picture!" Jennie smiled, As she got out her phone and leaned her head on Jaebum's shoulder.
He could practically smell the alcohol mixed with her perfume and sighed, knowing she was quite drunk.
The night went on and Jennie continued to drink, not realising she wouldn't remember anything the morning after.
***
"Eurgh."
Jennie woke up on the couch in the common room of the dorm. She was woken up by the sound of people walking past and buying their morning coffee from the coffee machines. They all looked at her as she couldn't believe her friends could leave her out there like that.
She realised she was covered by Jaebum's jacket and also realised someone had gone through the effort of taking most of her makeup off too.
Quickly before people could see her swollen face, she hid under the jacket and ran towards the girls dorm, where she banged on her dorm room door and waited.
"What?!—Unnie, we're so sorry!" Lisa exclaimed as she was trying her best not to laugh and Jennie's serious face.
Before Jennie could even speak, she ran straight into the bathroom, not caring that Rosè was busy showering and puked into the toilet.
