"Okay, I just need you to sign the pages that are marked" Gemma hands me my eleven month lease to look over.

Taking the packet I leaf through it as she continues to explain what I'm signing.

"This page is just so you know you're responsible for keeping up with all house appliances. Since the house is already furnished you break it or destory it you replace it. Next page, if you ever want to change something, flooring, the paint on the walls, the color of the house, you must run it by me first"

Nodding my head I sign these pages before she continues to the next one.

"This page just states any time you want to back out of this lease, you have a month to notify me before you move"

Signing that page she flips to the last page.

"Now if you don't have any questions you can sign and date here and you're all set to move in" she smiles.

Signing my name on the dotted line I hand the papers to Gemma.

"Perfect. Pleasure doing business with you, Abel" Gemma holds her hand out to me and I take it with a smile.

"I really appreciate you helping me out" I thank her.

"It's no problem. I've had this house on the market for a while and no one has looked at it besides you. I appreciate you taking it off my hands" she laughs.

Picking up her breif case she tucks my lease inside as I look around my new, temporary home. This place would be perfect if Nava was moving in here with me.

"Hey, Mrs. Em, when is Nava moving in her apartment?" I question making her eyes shoot to me.

While she was here helping Nava find her apartment, she was nice enough to offer her serves when she heard I was looking for a place to rent.

"Day after tomorrow. She didn't tell you?"

She didn't but I nod my head anyway, "No, she did I was just making sure so her present arrives on time"

"Oh" Gemma laughs, "what did you get her?"

I shrug as we walk to the front door, "It's a surprise, I don't want to ruin it"

"I can keep a secret" she wiggles her eyebrows making me laugh as we stop in the foyer.

"I didn't even get it yet, I'm still waiting for my friend to get back to me but I'm sure you'll find out the minute she gets it"

Rolling her eyes, Gemma pulls her purse on her shoulder, "Okay. Well I'm sure she's on her way or something so I'll get going. Enjoy and see you next time"

Gemma reaches to hug me and I pat her back, "See you next time. You and your family are always welcomed to visit"

"Awe, thank you" Gemma beams as I open the door and she steps outside, "I'll keep that in mind"

With a wave, she makes her way to her car and I close my door pulling my phone out.

Walking to the living room I sit on the couch putting my phone to my ear to listen to the dial tone.
