6:35 P.M.Staring out the window I sigh thinking about the busy day I'm going to have tomorrow.
I really didn't want to go to this stupid Met Gala and Bella knew this the first time she asked me to go with her which was way before I met Nava.
I low key hoped with all the time we've spent away from each other, it would have made Bella not want to go with me anymore but no; I get a call from her last week telling me I'm still expected to be her escort.
I wanted to tell her to fuck off and ask Cal to go with her but I couldn't tell her no when I agreed months in advance.
It makes me kinda glad Nava wants to come out as a couple soon. It means I can finally leave Bella like I've always wanted to do since I realized Nava just might be the one.
Glancing at Nava I watch her type away on her laptop.
As much as I enjoy having Nava to myself, it would be nice to not have to hide.
Going on all those dates with Bella made me wish she was Nava each and every time.
Every touch, every kiss I only saw Nava. Holding Bella didn't even feel right.
With Bella and I officially breaking up maybe now Nava will see how serious I am about us. Hopefully after a little time she'll consider moving in with me at some point.
Sooner than later.
I haven't told Nava but it's been hell sleeping without her lately.
Since she moved into her place my insomnia has come back worse than I ever remember it being. Some nights when I can't sleep I go to the studio if I'm not already there; others I have to take something stronger than sleep meds just to get in a couple hours.
I'm not going to lie though, some of those sleep deprived nights in the studio were my best sessions. Still I'd rather have Nava in my bed.
I don't want to go back to depending on drugs to make me function anymore than I already have.
Landing at JFK International, I step off the jet following Cash down the steps and over to the waiting SUV's.
Throwing my bag in the back I turn for Nava's things.
"Hey, Freddy and I have to go somewhere. You're gonna head to the loft with Lamar and them"
Giving me her overnight bag she swings her laptop bag on her shoulder saying, "Where are you going? We just got here"
Tossing her overnight bag inside the car I close the trunk.
"I know. I just gotta take care of something before tomorrow" I take her neck to kiss her forehead. "I'll be right behind you. I promise."
"Okay" I hear her mumble.
Opening the back door I help her into the back seat.
"What's up, Nava. Heard you hangin' wit the big boys for a while" Hawk smiles.
"I swear, any of yall motherfuckers touch her we gone have issues" I warn them. Mostly Hawk.
"Shut up, Abel, ain't nobody scared of yo midget ass" Hawk smacks his lips. "She good with us"
Nava looks to me with a smile, "Hear that? They got me so go do whatever you have to do with Freddy"
Biting my lip I close the door and she rolls the window down, "forty minutes tops"
