Sitting on the floor in front of the love seat in my room, Nava and I pick up where we left off on her favorite anime, Inu Yasha, while she dries my freshly washed hair with her hair dryer.

It's been years since I've watched this show, so I don't remember a lot about it.

Nava found the series in a video store I wanted to visit the other day. When she found it, she reminded me of a kid on Christmas morning once she realized it came with all, I think she said, seven seasons; then she really got excited when she found the final season to the show a little farther down the rack.

I thought the whole exchange was adorable. It's not often I meet girls who are as into anime as I am, Bella most definitely wasn't. She actually found it to be weird and she never liked if the show was subbed since she found subtitles annoying.

It's actually kind of a turn on to me that Nava's into the genre because I get to share shows I like with her and vice versa.

Parting my dreads to get under them, Nava giggles when the girl tells Inu Yasha to sit, and I roll my eyes not amused in the least. It was funny the first time I saw it but then Nava told me she wished she could do that to me when I get on her nerves, and it wasn't so funny anymore cause that shit looks like it hurts.

Still, I laughed it off like a joke even though deep down I know she was being serious.

It's then her phone goes off and guessing it's probably Wesley calling to see when Nava will be home, she pauses to reach over my shoulder for the device that's sitting on the coffee table.

"Hi, Sid, what's going on?" She greets her sister a few seconds later.

Continuing on with my hair, I listen to Nava's side of the conversation catching her sister is in town.

"Really? That's awesome and great timing. I'm actually going out of town tomorrow {...} I'll be in Tokyo for the next few weeks, but a few friends and I are meeting up later for a little get together, you guys should come {...} great I'll send the address; talk to you then"

Hanging up, Nava starts on the top of my head, "Well looks like you get to meet Cassidy. Her and her boyfriend are here for some event."

"Lucky, she got here when she did" I lean my head back into her lap, "can't wait to meet her"

Smiling, Nava leans down to press a kiss against my lips, "Me too. Now head up, I'm almost finished" she kisses me again and I sit up with a deep sigh.

To me, this is the most annoying part about having dreads. It takes hours for my hair to fully dry even with a blow dryer. I can't wait to cut this shit off.

I guess I'll see about doing that when we return from our trip.

"It's been an hour, Nava. I don't need it completely dry, just damp enough that it's not dripping all over me"

"I already got the back dry, just let me finish the top"

"I'm supposed to pick Lamar up at two, and I can't be late" I remind her. "Hurry up"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Be patient, this is matted hair"

Rolling my eyes I mutter under my breath, "You heard what the hell I said"
