Pulling the door open to Abel's studio, I step into the building looking around the lobby as I make my way to the elevators.Pressing the button I wait for one to open.
Can't really say I'm surprised Abel called me. I figured it would happen eventually even if Nava was hiding our meetings from him; he was still going to find out.
I was kind of counting on it.
If she hasn't realized this about Abel she never will but she's stubborn like that. Does whatever the hell she wants no matter how it might make someone feel.
Hearing a ding an elevator opens and I get on pressing the floor number.
Coming up on the floor, I head in the direction of the double doors at the end of the hallway.
Pushing them open I find Abel, Lamar, and Hyghly passing around a blunt.
Their attention falls on me when the doors close.
"Cal. How you doin' man?" Abel leans back in his chair taking a sip from a red cup.
Shoving my hands in my pockets I shrug, "Just chillin'."
"No, shit" he finishes his drink before placing it on the sound board.
"Come take a seat." He gestures to an open chair and I take it.
"What's up, Lamar, Hyghly" I nod in their direction and they nod back in acknowledgement.
"Nun much, Cal" Lamar passes me the blunt and I accept it taking a deep hit.
Already knowing why I'm here I need it.
Passing the blunt around I watch Abel mess with his sound board trying to get whatever song he's working on to sound how he wants.
Some time later once the blunt is finished Lamar and Hyghly mention something about getting something to eat and Abel tells them to bring him something back.
"You want somethin', Cal?" Hyghly wonders.
"Nah. I'm good" I decline.
Finally alone with Abel I wait for him to tell me why I'm here.
Feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket I pull it out to see Nava texted me asking what I'm up to.
Peering up at Abel I wonder if Nava knows about this; I'd guess she doesn't and that makes me wonder how he found out about us.
Maybe he goes through her phone?
Pausing the track Abel sighs sitting back in his seat.
"I thought we were done playing games" he finally speaks turning around in his chair. "They were supposed to end with Valerie"
Glancing down to my lap I turn my phone off, "They did end with Valerie. Ain't nobody tell you to catch feelings for Nava; I guess some things will never change."
Abel scoffs, "And what the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
Flicking my gaze to his I glare at him. "Just like Valerie she was mine first and you took her like you don't know how to get your own bitch"
Abel smiles, "Let's not point fingers when you're fucking Bella"
I shrug, "One bitch compared to your two and I don't even like her like that. She's just a quick fix when I haven't had any in a while"
He shrugs nonchalantly, "Not that I care but it still counts. Especially when you followed her around for two months"
He would know that but that only means he doesn't know what I'm really up to. "It's not my fault she came to me when you broke up with her"
