Staring up at Nava's house again, I can't help thinking about how we come from totally different back grounds.
My dad walked out on us starting another family when I was a baby, my mom worked all the time. Only person I really had was my grandma; and since my mom didn't really date, it was just me.
Someone could have at least gotten me a fucking dog though; a nigga was a lonely ass kid.
Now that my grandma has passed away, my mom was all I had left, now I have Nava who grew up with her parents in this big ass house.
When I was here yesterday, I couldn't help feeling a little jealous. I saw all the memories put into this place. All the good and bad times.
I imagined Nava taking her first steps here while her parents cheered her on. Ending a date on her porch with a kiss. Her birthdays and Christmas mornings. I saw it all in one glance and it made me feel like anything I give her now is second hand.
She's used to it just like Bella. I can't spoil her the way I want. She already has everything.
With a deep sigh I get out my car locking it behind me. Pulling my jacket around me I make my way up the driveway trying to calm my nerves.
This is what I wanted. I don't know what the hell I'm so nervous about.
Approaching the door, I adjust my jacket again before pressing the doorbell.
Biting my lip I bounce on my toes not sure how this is going to go.
A minute passes and I tense up when I hear the door unlock. It opens revealing this big ass dude.
I'm not really sure what to say.
"Hello, you must be Abel" he greets in a deep English voice.
