"Nic, wake up."

Meek continued to shake me until I kicked his leg and he stopped.

"Damn, that shit hurt."

"That's the point.", I said sitting up.

I looked down to see me in Meek's shirt and then looked at him.

"You fell asleep while I was playing in your hair so I changed you into one of my shirts."

"I'm surprised you didn't try anything."

"I wouldn't do that."

I cut my eyes to him and he held his hands up.

"I know, I know."

"What did we talk about?", I asked.

"How I changed, how my dad was, and how everybody was."

"Did I cry?", I asked and he nodded.

"You hurt me so bad Meek, posting my nudes on social media and then tagging me?"

"I felt like shit after that Nic, I really did."

"No, you felt like shit after Omelly beat your ass."

I grabbed a pillow and hit him repeatedly, but stopped after he hit his head on the wall.

"That shit hurt."

"Good!"

I put the pillow down and just stared at him.

"I'm so glad he beat your ass."

"Okay, I get it. I did some fucked up shit."

"Anyways, enough about you. How's your dad?"

"He alright."

I nodded and got out the bed.

"Where you going?"

"To get something to eat, duh."

"I think you're going to cook if Na isn't here."

I nodded and walked down the stairs and saw Na & their dad.

"Good morning everybody."

"Morning Nika.", Na said.

She kissed my cheek and I hugged Meek's dad.

"I want to thank you for getting me out that hellhole.", Robert said.

"No problem, nobody deserves to be in jail for something that they didn't do."

He nodded, smiling and I smiled back.

"It smells good in here.", Meek said.

"Of course because I cooked, duh.", Na said.

We all engaged into a conversation before food was finally done and then there was a comforting silence.

"So, how's school Nika?", Na asked.

"It's going pretty good. I'm just ready to hurry up and graduate."

"I was the same way until I realized college was worse."

"It can't be that bad."

"Alright, let's switch classes."

I quickly shook my head and everybody laughed.

"You better get used to those classes."

Na and her dad started up a conversation between themselves so I turned to Meek and saw him staring at me.
