Again, this is a topic in which my opinion changes regularly. I think there needs to be an active move to having more diversity within the modelling world, and that the modelling world accepts unconventional models without having them just to fill diversity quotas.
The way beauty is projected through models in the industry is damaging to so many aspects of life. I used to speak to a guy whose standards were unrealistically high because he was obsessed with Victoria Secret's models. I'm not saying get rid of the models we see today, but we need to make space for different body types and different faces.
At the end of the day, modelling is an art form and therefore models have to look a certain way. I'm far too plain faced to ever be a model. But the modelling industry needs to stop equating thin with beauty, and white with editorial. They need to branch out more.
