You went to the Mikaelson home to find Kol but to see nobody there but Klaus. That was quite odd but shook it off just thinking him & everyone else was busy.
"Hey nik" you smiled as you walked over to him. He was sorting something out but soon stopped as you walked in. Your entrance must have startled him because whatever he was doing, he was trying to hide.
"Oh Y/N, hello love" he said with a awkward smile. He was hiding something. You gave him a confused look. "...so where's everyone?" You asked.
"Uh-I'm not..uh- I'm not too sure" he replied while his face went red. You laughed at how bad he was at hiding things and turned to face him. "Now come on, spill whatever your keeping me from Niklaus or so help me I will fight you" you spoke in a serious tone. It was silent for a few moments before he burst out laughing.
"What's funny?" You said while furrowing your eyebrows. He was started to annoy you. "Oh nothing love I'll catch you later" he walked past you and out the door. You sat down processing what had just happened but brushed it off and made your way to Kols room and climbed into his bed and fell asleep.
Later on You woke up in the same position as you fell asleep. As you were about to turn over and fall back asleep, you heard footsteps passing the door. You quickly jumped out of bed and ran towards the door and opened the door. You then saw Elijah and Rebekah holding balloons and when they saw you, they put them behind their backs.
"Not you guys too?! Oh come on what is everyone hiding" you huffed and tried to grab one of the balloons from Elijahs back but failed miserably. They both flashed a smirk.
"Sorry love, cant say much now but soon you'll know" Rebekah blurted earning a glare from Elijah. "That's quite enough sister". You sighed and as you were about to say something else, they both speeded out of your sight. By this point you were annoyed, the longest conversation you had was for about 2 minuet! You felt like you were in the prison world.
You sighed and slid down the door frame. You went back into the room and climbed back into the bed. After for what seemed like an eternity of thinking, you eventually fell back asleep.
You were woken up by a door opening and footsteps coming closer. You sat up and squinted to see who was in front of you. Kol. You breathed out happily and hugged him. He instantly returned the hug but then you pulled away and slapped his arm.
"Where have you been?!" you asked in an annoyed tone. He chuckled lightly at your comment and put his hand out, signalling you to take it. You were confused but took it anyway and he lead you to the staircase leading to downstairs. As you were walking with him, each step had a memory of you guys on. 'Our first date', 'our first kiss', 'our first kill' etc. You smiled at the memories he could remember which you thought he forgot about.
You had arrived at the bottom of the steps to be revealed to a heart shape with the outline of roses. Your eyes teared up at the sight. He continued to take your hand and stopped until you were both in the centre of the heart.
He took both of your hands, took a deep breath and got on one knee. You gasped and covered your mouth. He giggled at your reaction and blinked away the tears in his eyes.
"Y/N, I met you in 1845, in Paris. As soon as I saw you I knew I had to know more of you and then I knew that despite the years I've spent on this earth, you had been the most beautiful girl I'd seen. What made you even more attractive is that you were kicking arse when I first saw you" you giggled and wiped the tears which were still falling.
"You've kept me from becoming my biggest fears, you've kept me from turning into the devil I know I can be, and you've kept me being the best person I can be and I'd like to keep it that way forever...so..Y-Y/N...will you marry me?" He finished while wiping the tears with his sleeve.
"Of course Kol Mikaelson!!!" You breathed out while jumping and hugging him. He held you tight and kissed you so passionately it was unreal. He slid the gigantic diamond ring on your finger. Your mouth widened as you studied how big the diamond actually was.
Suddenly, Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah, Freya, Hope, Hayley and Marcel burst out while cheering. You jumped in fright then started to laugh when you realised who it was. Rebekah was gushing over how big the diamond was.
"Looks like you're the newest addition to the Mikaelsons love" klaus smiled while hugging you. You smiled at his comment. "Indeed so, you've been a part of this family for much longer though" Elijah softly added. You hugged him as well.
"Congratulations both of you, I know you will keep each other happy" Freya said while smiling as she hugged you both. "Thankyou, all of you! Now I know why everyone was acting so weird" you laughed which made everyone else laugh.
You all spent the rest of the night celebrating about the engagement.
