Sometimes people
Confuse a Insomniac,
A person with the inability to sleep,
With being a maniac

Suffering from insomnia
Doesn't make you crazy
It doesn't make you into what I am
A useless, idiotic, friendless girl who's lazy

It makes you into a strong, mindful person
A image of perfection in my slate coloured eyes
But I know you don't think the same
Which is much to my demise

You manage to thrive in your life daily
Living with lack of sleep
But I understand your exhaust
That lays within you deep

Though, I'm not one to speak
I don't truly know
Because I too have insomnia
But that just goes to show

I don't truly understand
As my mental illnesses are confusing
They all combine and mix within
If knowledge is what you seek, it's not me you should be using

Anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADD
Those are just a few to name
Everyday the voices grow and shrink,
My sanity is never the same...

Nonetheless, I support you all
If your suffering or thriving
Because you all manage your sanity healthy
Unlike me, who's mental stability is diving
