Alex packed her bags and got ready to leave her cell.

Alex: I'm glad we're leaving. I would never let you be born in a place like this.

She grabbed her bag and walked
out of the woman's ward, going towards the front desk. Lily was there waiting for her, smiling.

Alex: Why do you look so cheery?

Lily: I'm happy that you got out.

Alex: So am I.

Lily signed Alex out as an officer walked up to them.

Officer: Miss Smith?

Alex: That's me.

Officer: I'm officer Johnny Hampton. I'll be escorting you two home and putting your ankle brace on so we know where you are at all times.

Alex: Okay.

Officer Hampton looked between Lily and Alex.

Officer: Do you two live together?

Lilly wanted to say no. She wanted to say that she had just met this woman and had never seen her before today. She wanted to tell him that she lived alone in her house with guest bedrooms that would be perfect for someone and a child to stay in. She wanted to say no.

Lily: Yes.

Alex gave Lily a look, which was returned. The officer gave them a weird look, them took them outside.

Officer: I'll follow your car.

Lily: Okay.

Lily unlocked her car and even opened Alex's door for her. Alex got in and threw her bag in the backseat. Lily got in the car and turned on the engine. They started to drive with Officer Hampton behind them. There was silence until Alex spoke.

Alex: What are you doing?

Lily: I'm driving.

Alex: (Sigh) No, what are you doing?

Lily: I'm taking us home.

Alex: I don't live with you.

Lily: Yes you do.

Alex:...you don't have to do that.

Lily: I don't have to, I want to.

Alex slightly smiled, hoping Lily didn't noticed. Finally someone cared to give her a home. Lily was a stranger and she still treated Alex better than anyone else. But she's sure that when she has the baby Lily will throw her out.

Lily: We're here.

Alex looked over in shock. She expected a small house just for Lily and a tiny strip of land, but she saw...

Alex: Oh my god.

Lily: What?

Alex: Uh....Nothing.

The girls got out the car as Officer Hampton stepped out of his. Lily walked to her front door and opened it. Alex and Johnny followed her in, staring all around the house.

Officer: Nice place.

Lily: Thank you.

Alex: Yea...thanks.

Officer: Well I can put the ankle brace on in the living room.

Alex: Okay.

Lily guided the two into the living room. Alex sat down as Officer Hampton pulled out a brace and put it around her ankle, turning it on and programming it.

Officer: Alright, with this on you can only be in this house or a hospital.

Alex: Thank you.

The officer nodded and said his goodbyes, then left.

Alex: Well now I really live here.

Lily laughed and showed Alex the guest room, which had a perfectly made bed and a flat screen TV.

Alex: Wow. What an upgrade.

Lily laughed once again and took Alex's bag, putting it on the bed.

Lily: You can unpack, I'll be making dinner.

Alex nodded and started to unpack, turning on the TV and switching to Adult Swim. When Lily left the room, she pushed the bag over and laid on the bed, instantly falling asleep when she hit the pillow.
