Chapter 6

Alex stepped out of the shower and changed into pajamas provided by Lily. She tip toed downstairs wondering if the short girl had gone to sleep. As she down the steps, Alex heard soft sobbing from the kitchen. She didn't know if she should go in there of pretend she never came downstairs. While backing to the stairs, the tall brunette tripped over the wire for the lamp beside her.

Alex: (Cw)

Lily heard the crash and stepped out of the kitchen while wiping her tears.

Lily: Are you okay?

Alex: Yea I just tripped. Are you okay?

Lily: What do you mean?

Alex pointed to the fresh tear stains on the small girls face. Lily turned away.

Lily: I'm fine.

Alex: Sure?

Lily: Yep.

Lily went to walk away when she turned back around.

Lily: You know what? I'm not okay. I'm afraid that you'll choke me in my sleep or kill me somehow-

Alex: What?

Lily: I don't why I thought bringing a stranger from jail into my home was a good idea? How stupid am I? I'm an idiot. My mom was an idiot for marrying my father and then he ended up attacking her and not giving a (cw) and now I'm an idiot. I'm a (cw) idiot-

Alex stopped Lily's ranting with a kiss. The two kissed for what seemed like minutes when Alex pulled back.

Lily: Were you trying to shut me up?

Alex: Yep.

    They kissed again, banging into the stairs.

Alex: Ow!

Lily: Are you okay?!

Alex: Yea Yea...I'm Fine.

     Lily noticed Alex's eyes staring at her lips and backed away.

Lily: We should get to bed.

Alex: Oh uh, yea.

Lily: Good night.

      Alex nodded and went back upstairs. Lily followed, going to her bedroom to change. The tall brunette laid in bed and thought about what happened. Did Lily actually like her? Or maybe she went over her head and believed that Lily liked her. Why did she kiss her in the first place? What an idiot. 

      Lily sat on the bed not knowing what to do. Would things change between them now that they had kissed? Would Alex move out? Would they be together? Lily honestly didn't know which one she wanted to happen. The small girl got up and walked to Alex's room to see if she was asleep. When she walked in, Alex looked up to her.

Lily: Oh, I thought you were asleep.

Alex: Nope. Can't sleep.

Lily: Me neither.

      Alex looked away from Lily and moved over in the bed, motioning Lily to sleep with her.

Lily: I should probably get to bed. 

Alex: Why do you think I moved over?

    Lily chucked and walked over to bed. She laid down and looked to Alex.

Lily: We're just friends, okay?

       Alex was angry. How Lily accept her kiss then just reject her like that? Alex had to try and get Lily to like her, maybe Lily was scared.

Alex: Are you sure?

Lily: Yes, we don't even know each other.

Alex: Well you let me stay in your house, I think that's enough.

Lily: (Sigh) Listen, I really like you, but we need time to get to know each other first.

     Alex nodded, she wasn't really getting rejected, Lily just needed some time. And, she really likes her! That's gotta be amazing!

Alex: Okay, we'll get to know each other.

     Lily nodded and started to get up from the bed when Alex pulled her back down.

Alex: Where are you going? You just got comfy.

     Lily laughed and laid back down. The two eventually fell asleep while watching, you guessed it, Adult swim.

Next chapter is a time skip to Christmas day. It's like, 5 months. See ya!
