Lily walked into the nursery with paint brushes and the giant can of paint.

Lily: Okay let's get started.

Alex grabbed a paint brush and started to paint the walls, while Lily searched for baby things online.

Lily: Ooh, we could put her name above her crib.

Alex: She doesn't even have a name yet.

Lily: She's just ladybug for right now.

Alex: Yea, but seriously we have to start thinking of names.

Lily: Okay then, let's think.

Alex put down her brush and sat on the floor with Lily to think of baby names.

Lily: Okay, give me your ideas.

Alex: Uh...Sam. That's all I got.

Lily: (Laughs) Okay here's my list.

Lily turned her computer over to show Alex her list of name for the baby.

Lisa

Jasmine

Emily

Emma

Katie

Jamie.

Jessica

Alex: Okay, that's a lot of names. I like Emma or Emily.

Lily: I really like Emma.

Alex: Then there you go, Emma.

Lily: She needs a middle name too. Your name isn't just Alex is it?

Alex: No it's Alexis.

Lily: Whatever.

Alex looked over the list again.

Alex: Jasmine.

Lily: So Emma Jasmine Smith.

Alex: Thompson.

Lily: No you're her real mother, she should have your last name.

Alex: Well, you've been acting more like her mother than me. Plus, I think your last name would suit her.

Lily: No your last name would suit her, there are a lot of Smiths in the world.

Alex: I want Thompson.

Lily: Okay, how about Emma Jasmine Smith-Thompson?

Alex: I like Thompson-Smith better.

Lily: Fine, Emma Jasmine Thompson-Smith.

Alex: Perfect.

Alex picked up a paint brush and started to paint the walls again. Lily joined and the two finished in under an hour.

Lily: Well, we just have to wait for all of this dry. Let's go have lunch.

Alex: Good I'm starving.

The couple went downstairs and had sandwiches for lunch. As Alex took a bite of her sandwich, she suddenly dropped it and gasped.

Lily: What happened?

Alex: She kicked.

Saying that the two were happy was an understatement. Lily practically jumped on Alex, almost killing her, because she was so happy. Alex was crying tears of joy. After that excitement, the couple went back upstairs and saw that the nursery was finished drying.

Lily: Now to decorate.

Alex: Oh boy.
