I took in my surroundings as I entered the small diner. I smiled instantly as soon as I realised that there was a stage. That means music. I walked to one of the many empty red booths that were dotted around and sat down, placing my guitar on the seat next to me. I took a deep breath before reaching forwards and retrieving a small menu from the stand in the middle of the table. I studied the menu carefully before my thoughts were interrupted by a voice. "Good afternoon, my name is Santana, and I will be your waitress for today. What can I get you?" It a voice that made my breathing falter. I looked up slowly and the most beautiful Latina girl I have ever seen met my eyes. She really was stunning, with silky dark brown hair, so dark it could have been almost black. Her eyes. She had mesmerising brown eyes, I almost got lost in them. I didn't realize I hadn't answered her question until she looked up from her notepad. She was about to say something but stopped as soon as her eyes met mine, "I-I uhm" she said and I chuckled. She seemed nervous. Does that mean she's gay? "I'll just have a water please" I said quietly, realising how thirsty I was. She nodded and walked away, casting a single glance back in my direction. I smiled when her eyes reached mine and flickered away instantly. While I waited, I looked around at the diner. It consisted of several red booths and a small satiate with curtains. It had a small bar and back rooms. It was very welcoming. I was pulled out of my trance when she came back with my water, I smiled as I reached out and took it from her hands. "I'm Dani, by the way" I said, smiling kindly. "Hi, D-dani" she stuttered, blushing immediately afterwards. I giggled, she's adorable. She half walked, half ran away towards the counter and I saw her having a rushed, seemingly panicked conversation with a short brunette. She looked over so my reflexes kicked in and I waved slightly, she smiled quickly and turned back to the girl, frantically, making me laugh.

I stayed at my booth in the diner for a good hour or so more as I had nowhere else to go. However, I do quite like this little diner, it's cute. I looked up at the stage and saw a small group of the staff walking towards it. I heard some music start playing and grinned at the familiarity of the song.

Rachel:
You think I'm pretty
Without any make-up on
You think I'm funny
When I tell the puch line wrong
I know you get me
So I'll let my walls come down, down

Santana:
Before you met me
I was a wreck
But things were kinda heavy
You brought me to life
Now every February
You'll be my valentine, valentine

Kurt:
Let's go all the way tonight
No regrets, just love
We can dance until we die
You and I
We'll be young forever

All:
You make me
Feel like I'm living a
Teenage Dream
The way you turn me on
I can't sleep
Let's runaway
And don't ever look back
Don't ever look back
My heart stops
When you look at me
Just one touch
Now baby I believe
This is real
So take a chance
And don't ever look back
Don't ever look back

Santana:
We drove to Cali
And got drunk on the beach
Got a motel and
Built a fort out of sheets
I finally found you
My missing puzzle piece
I'm complete

All:
Let's go all the way tonight
No regrets, just love
We can dance until we die
You and I
We'll be young forever
You make me
Feel like I'm living a
Teenage Dream
The way you turn me on
I can't sleep
Let's runaway
And don't ever look back
Don't ever look back

I clapped along with the whole of the diner when they finished their song.

Time passed quickly until it was dusk outside, and I realised I had spent the past 4 hours watching Santana serve customers, she had occasionally looked up at me, in which case I winked at her and she blushed furiously, looking down. As I was 'reading the menu' again, meaning I was really looking over the top of it. She waved at the brunette and exclaimed "Bye Rachel!". She then turned at started walking slowly towards me, I begun re-reading the menu, expecting her to walk past, but she stopped right in front of me. "Hi" I said, slowly, "Hey" she replied, smiling kindly. I gestured to the seat in front of me, indicating for her to take a seat. I placed the menu down on the table and looked at her. "You've been here all day" she stated, staring at me without expression. "I have nowhere else to go" I said, looking down and avoiding her eyes. "Why?" she asked concern clear in her voice. "I don't have an apartment, or anything" I mumbled, again avoiding her eyes. "How come? Where are you going to stay?" She asked, I looked up warily, why did she care?

"Don't worry about it" I mumbled and played with the menu on the table, trying to force away the tears that we're pricking my eyes. She placed her hand over mine, causing me to look up sharply. "Are you okay?" she asked sincerely, searching my eyes for the truth. "Yes.." I replied, to which she stared at me blankly, "No..." I said, quickly, "Its a long story." She never took her gaze away from mine as she looked at me kindly, "I have time" she stated sympathetically.

I spent the next half an hour explaining everything from the bullying to my father to Karla to being in New York, surprising myself with how easily I was trusting this girl. She listened carefully from start to finish and when I was done she stood up, pulled me up with her and pulled me into a hug. I identified her scent, deciding that she smelt like vanilla. I smiled through my tears and we stayed like that for a while until she pulled away. "Come on" she said, grabbing my hand sending tingles up my arm. "Where are we going?" I asked, confused. "My apartment, you need a place to stay" She replied simply and I grinned.
