Secrets & Milkshakes

After dealing with that jackass Ghoulie, Archie had to go somewhere while Jughead and I decided to stop by the police station to see if our friends were still stuck in their cells.

As we entered the police station, I walked with confidence to the head desk, with Jughead following not far behind.

" Can I help you?" The lady in uniform asks me, her eyebrow raising when seeing my smirk.
" Actually, yes." I say with enthusiasm and put my hands on the counter.

" Are those kids Mayor Mc Coy, still locked up like caged animals?" I ask while my I still gave her my cheeky smile, while tilting my head acting like the most sweetest thing that crossed this earth.

" There are no visitors allowed." She says with a stern voice, clearly not wanting me to be around.
" Why's That?" I ask.
" Because it's Mc Coy doesn't want unexpected or unwanted visitors; so please leave." She says snapping at me, as I smile and look over at Jughead who looked a bit worried.

" Unexpected and unwanted visitors? Hm, that's funny because she was definitely unexpected and unwanted when she stormed into Southside High. Especially when she started arresting innocent kids, that are being blamed for something that they didn't do." I snap at the lady as she laughed sarcastically in my face.

" They are Serpents and criminals Honey, so most likely whatever they are accused of doing is true." She tells me.

" May I ask if Mayor Mc Coy has any evidence that Serpents are the ones dealing the drugs?" I say not waisting a minute on snapping back at this judgmental Asshole.
" I can not release any information that's not my case."  She tells me smirking a bit to herself.

" Okay, could you call Mayor Mc Coy up to explain to me what gives her the right to drag kids in here without any information. Since it's her case and not yours ." I ask as Jughead tries to pull me away, and get me to walk away but I don't budge.

" She's in the middle of speaking to someone at the moment." She tells me pointing to the room where I see Sweet pea getting into a heated argument with Mayor Mc Coy.

Then as I turn to ask another favor, I see Toni pass by us and make eye contact with us as she was being escorted by Sheriff Keller.

" Sheriff Keller!" I yell getting his attention, stopping him from walking further and looking towards my direction. I then watch him walk up with Toni, who was pretty confused on why we were here.
"Yes?" He asks.

" Hi I'm Danny Grace, I'm one of Kevin's friends. I just wanted to say that your son is one of the sweetest things on this earth! And I just wanted to stop by too have a word with both you and Mayor Mc Coy, it would only take a few... I hope I'm not bothering you." I say giving him a smile and shaking his hand when introducing myself.

" Uh well, I guess sure. Follow me Ms. Grace." He says as I thank him before giving the front desk lady, and Jughead a smirk.

As Sheriff Keller knocks in the door and Mc Coy opens the door, there's confusion written on her face.

" Hello Mayor Mc Coy, I'm Danny Grace. I just wanted to stop by and ask you a few questions if you don't mind, I know your pretty busy here." I say putting a forced smile her way, while shaking her hand as well when introducing myself.

" Uh sure dear, what's your question?" She asks as I  walk passed her and step into the room, sending a shocked/surprised Sweet pea a wink.

As Sheriff Keller closes the door, I then turn to face Mc Coy.
" So I saw you and Sheriff Keller barge into SouthSide High today, and start arresting kids that were only apart of or connected with the Serpents? Why's that?" I ask shocking everyone a bit in the room for being so forward.

" Well they are in here for dealing students Jingle-Jangle in the school dear." She says forcing a smile my way as I then sat onto the table that Sweet Pea was sat behind.

" Oh, so you have proof and evidence right?" I ask her still forcing a innocent smile her way.
" Well not exact-"
" If you didn't find any drugs on any of them, or in their locker, then obviously they aren't the ones dealing it. So there's no reason for even bringing them in because from what I see is that they are the innocent ones." I say now loosing my smirk, and jumping off the desk.

" And you can't really force any innocent person to stay here if they are innocent right? Isn't that a crime. Holding someone against their will? Especially since they are teenagers and underage." I say staring deep into Mayor Mc Coys brown glaring eyes. She nor could Sheriff Keller could truly do anything to me either; because I was most defiant correct.

All my two friends could do was smirk at me...

I then turned to Keller and smiled sweetly.
" Can you please un-cuff my friends now, and let every other Serpent in this police station go now?" I ask as he then sighs about to un-cuff Toni until Mayor Mc Coy stops him.

" Ma'am She's right." Sheriff Keller tells the woman.
" She's also a Serpent herself, of course she would defend them." She says before grabbing my arm roughly to show my tattoo, I then yank my arm away and glare at her.

" Yes I'm a Serpent, and that doesn't make me any less of a person or know what you are doing here is wrong. I know for a fact that Serpents most defiantly don't deal those straws of death, or any other illegal drug." I tell her, clearly getting annoyed and triggered.

" How can I trust your word? Serpents are lying snakes." She spat at me with venom in her voice.

" You might be the mayor of this town but you know nothing about SouthSide or me. If Serpents were drug dealers then please tell me why I would ever surround myself with what took my mother away from me?  I have no idea where my mother is actually because of someone who hooked her on the exact same thing your worried about. She might be dead with her boyfriend back in my hometown right now! Who fucking knows! So don't tell me I'm associated with drugs or dealing then in general.
But if you don't believe My story, I'll be happy to give you my mother's name to show you her background." I say with venom in my voice. I could feel tears about to fall, but somehow I managed to blink them away.

Yeah I told everyone in that room my darkest family secret, but I knew I could trust ,
Toni, and Sweet pea with it.

Sheriff Keller, Mayor Mc Coy, Sweet Pea, and Toni just watching me now in sorrow.
" Now please let them go; they are innocent." I say as I the. watched them un-cuff every Serpent before walking back to Jughead who looked in shock seeing our friends and Serpents were following right behind me.

" How?" He asks smiling as Toni comes up and gives  him a bear hug. I then looked up seeing Sweet pea smiling down lightly at me.
" She proved Mayor Mc Coy wrong." Sweets tells Jughead as I then smile before checking the clock in the police station.

" I have a few more hours until I have to get home. How about we all grab some milkshakes down at pops?" I say as they all nodded except Sweet pea.
" Come on Sweets I know your a tough cookie but it'll be fun. It will be a celebration for getting out of jail!" I say nudging his arm a bit making him finally smile.

" Only because you got us out of that hell hole." He says making me clap in excitement.

Let's just say you got Sweet pea to drink a strawberry milkshake with rainbow sprinkles that day; And that felt very proud of it too.
