I woke up around 10am. 

I looked down at the mattress to see if Gus was still sleeping, but he wasn't even there. 

I walk down stairs and my mom was sitting at the kitchen table on her phone while eating a bowl of oatmeal. 

"mom, have you seen Gus?" I ask, rubbing my eyes. 

"nope." she looks at me. 

I go back upstairs, then I hear a familiar laughter come from my brothers room. 

I walk into my brothers room to find Gus, Ethan and josh all playing video games. 

gus looks at me and smiles then focuses his attention back on the tv. 

" I didn't wanna wake you up. you were sleeping peacefully." he says without making eye contact. 

"um..thats okay.. but why are you hanging out with my brother and his dork friend?" 

"hey!" josh yells, sounding very offended.

I throw my hands up in defense laughing.

gus chuckles. " ill see y'all around." he gets up and sets the controller on the dresser. he walks out the room. 

"stop stealing my friends." I snark at Ethan. 

gus had already made his way back to my room. 

"so, what do you wanna do today?" 

"dunno." I sit on the bed. 

" well...we can go to the movies...the park...mall.. choose." he says sitting down next to me. 

"theres a football game tonight for the school. wanna go?" I turn around looking at him.

"they got those on the weekends?" he says sounding unamused. 

"yes." I chuckle. 

" ill go if you wanna go. but you know everyones gonna stare at us."  he says, slouching his head over. 

"why? because two friends are going to a football game together?" I smirk. 

"no. because YOUR going to the football game with me." he swings his head around facing me. 

" oh my god. gus. I don't care about what other people think!!" I snap. I was tired of him always putting himself down. 

"okie. I'm sorry." he looks at me and smiles. 

"can we go get food? I'm starving." he asks as he lays down on my bed. 

"yes. let me get ready real quick." I smile, walking into the bathroom. 

after I got ready, we went downstairs. 

"mom! me and Gus are gonna go get food, then possibly go to the football game!"I yell as I head out the door. 

" OKAY!" she yells back. 

"where are we gonna go eat?" he asks as he sits in the drivers seat. 

" I want Taco Bell." I say, looking at him. 

"alrighty" he pulls out the driveway and heads to Taco Bell. 

"what do you wanna do after we get food. since we're still gonna have some time before the football game." he asks as he stops at a red light. 

" dunno. we can go see a movie." I smile. 

"sounds good to me."
