"bye mom!" I yelled as I walked out the door to my car.
its the first official week of school. and I'm already dreading it.
gus texted me last night around 11 telling me he wouldn't need a ride to school in the morning, so I ended up stopping by Starbucks to pass the extra time I had.
I got to school as soon as the bell rang.
I headed to first block, but for some reason, Gus wasn't In this class.
I tried texting him, but he never responded.
"can I go to the bathroom?" I raise my hand and ask Mrs.Williams.
she nods and hands me a hall pass.

I headed back to class.
a few minutes later, the bell rang transitioning everyone to second block.
"hey!" I felt a hand on my shoulder. i turned around and saw Gus.
"hey, where have you been?" I ask as he walks me to class.
"I originally didn't even plan on coming to school today, but after seeing that picture you posted made me miss you." he says with a over-dramatic sad face.
"what a honor to be missed by you.." I joke.
"oh yeah totally. you should feel like royalty." he puts his arm around me while smiling.
I raise an eyebrow at him. "oh trust me. I do." I say sarcastically.
we eventually made it to my second block class.
"ill see you at lunch." Gus smiles and waves as he walks down the hall heading to his class.
I fucking hate this class...
I ended up falling asleep while the teacher was talking about street law.
the bell ringing over the intercom woke me up.
I sat down at the table me and Gus sat at before.
"hey, how did you get here before me!" he sits down on the bench next to me.
he flips his hoodie on over his head and lays his head down.
"I ended up sleeping through all of street law so I didn't really have to drag myself out here. " I smile as I looked down at the sleepy gus.
"oh lucky you." he smirks.
he lays his head on his arm as he rests his other hand on my knee.
me and Gus started to talk about our plans for the week when Connor walks up to us, but this time without his jock friends.
"um..taylor..can I talk to you?" he says, making Gus quickly turn his head.
I felt Gus's grip on my knee get tighter.
"what do you want?" I ask angrily.
"too talk..." he puts his head down and his hands behind his back.
Gus looks at me unamused.
"ill be right back." I mouth to Gus as I get up from the table.
"okay." he manages to fake a smile. as I get up from the table Connor looks at me, looking alittle less anxious.
then he looks back at Gus.
"do you seriously have to fucking stare at her ass while I'm walking with her?" he goes to turn around.
I turn around and see Gus staring at me.
he starts to laugh at Connor.
"I suggest you hurry the fuck up with whatever pitty, sob story you rehearsed. because your just wasting your time...my names all over that.soo..." he looks at me and smirks.
connor sighs as we start walking up to the school steps. we were alone and far from everyone else.
" Taylor I just.." he starts to say.
" Connor just stop. he's right. your wasting your time.. you seriously hurt me." I say, trying my best not to burst into tears.
" I know that....and I'm sorry..taylor baby..I still love you...I know we're meant to be together.." he grabs my hand.
"what? no. Connor you don't get it. you hurt me. all you did was lie to me. you made me hate myself." I yank my hand out of his.
"Taylor.."
"no. I'm serious Connor. stay out of my life. you ruined every good thing about me.I'm sorry but I don't love you anymore." I say as I start to walk away.
"TAYLOR! YOUR MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE!" he yells at me as I walk away.
my only response to what he said didn't even involve me using my voice.
I turn around and smile.
then I politely flipped him off.
I headed back to the table me and Gus were at as the bell rang. "so what did he want?" Gus asks as we walk to class.
"exactly what you think. he's just jealous and he needs to get over himself." I say sternly.
"oo yes girl." he holds his hand out for a high five. I laugh as I high five him.
"okay, ill see you after school. do you need a ride home?" I ask as we reached my classroom.
"well I was wondering if I could come over today if that was okay with you." he says smiling.
"yeah sure. just wait out by my car if I'm not in the parking lot yet." I smile and wave goodbye as I walked into class.
