Raquel was finishing up washing her hands, as she allowed her thoughts to roam over the tall, fine, caramel man she'd curved downstairs just moments ago.
He looks too damn good, why did he have to come off so arrogant? Ugh, maybe I was being too hard on him, she thought in exasperation. She mentally prepared herself to be nicer once she returned downstairs. Her phone buzzed, pulling her from her thoughts. She looked down to see it was a text from her roommate Kim.
Kim: Hey boo, got that interview lined up for ya, just be there Friday around 8.
Raquel: Ok love, thanks again <3. I'm about to leave Alanna's soon, I'll see you in a few. ;)
She smiled as she thought about the kind of money she would be bringing in with this new job, if she was able to get it. She would be able to save up and finally leave Brickstone Heights once she graduated in the spring. Brickstone Heights was home to local stick-up kids ranging from teenagers to old ass niggas in their 40's who were still looking for a come-up. It also housed strippers, low-down babymamas laced in killer weaves while their kids ran around with snotty noses and old jordans, and scamming bitches who were looking for the next simp to leech off of. The 4 apartment complexes that lined Brickstone Rd, made the area populated enough to be considered a neighborhood. Raquel and her roommate had moved there when Raquel first moved out of her mom's house, an apartment complex over, since her mom couldn't keep random niggas from coming in and out of the house and the last one stole money out of Raquel's purse. After her mom defended the dude and tried to convince Raquel that she'd just misplaced the money and was harassing her company, she'd had enough and moved out the following weekend. Raquel would see her mom in passing from time to time, but sadly, words were never exchanged.
Raquel turned to leave the bathroom, and gasped when she saw a smirking Ty standing there, blocking her way.
"You scared the shit out of me!" She exclaimed. "My bad shawty, I didn't know you were so easy to scare," said a laughing Ty. "I'm not, it's just creepy as fuck to follow behind somebody and wait for them to come out of the bathroom." She responded rolling her eyes and pushing past Ty. Following behind her, Ty grabbed her and pulled her back to him. Before she could open her mouth to curse him out, he cut her off - "Listen ma, I like that you're feisty as fuck and all, but I'm over you just talking to me crazy when I haven't done anything but be nice to your ass." Rachel opened her mouth to speak, then closed it, looking at Ty in astonishment. Well damn, just put me in my place then, she thought in amusement. "Look Ty," she began, "in my defense, you're arrogant as fuck and you followed me upstairs like a creep, you're lucky all I've done is talk crazy to you." Ty released her arm and said, "You're right, let's start over, I'm Ty, I was just wondering if I could have your number to get to know you better ma." he finished while licking his lips. "That's a lot better," responded Raquel as she grabbed his phone out of his hand and put her number in it. She smirked giving it back to him and turned to walk down the stairs, Ty a few steps behind her.Ty went to find Ayden in the kitchen as he heard Raquel yell bye and leave out the front door. "That bitch didn't even tell me she was going to leave this early," complained Alanna, rolling her eyes. Ayden looked at Ty and nodded his head at him, "So what's good potna?"
Ty replied, "Fuck you mean? I got her number nigga, look it's right here." Ty unlocked his phone, went to Raquel's name and frowned when he saw her name saved with no number, just an email address. "What The Fuck?!" he exclaimed. Ayden and Alanna were dying laughing. "Man that's it, your friend is a trip, fuck she think this is?" said Ty.
"Well at least it's a start," said Alanna, still snickering. Ty responded, "Yeah whatever, if I ever see her ass again, I'm walking straight past shorty like I don't know her."•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
