Training with Stars

Just as I went on my first mission, I had obtained a new power containing the stars. Now that I've had the time to talk to Aoi, I believe that it's him lending me his aid.

Today would be like any other day. Wake up, get dressed, but this time in a combat suit, same black colour but streaks of blue, as well as a cloak. Today, I was going to train in using my innocence and the mystery star power.
I really don't like calling it a power, it's more like a gift from my brother and Asteria. And I'm thankful.

I walk down to the cafeteria, and order the same old drink, orange juice. If I train, I can loose weight and with that I can learn to harness this gift and use it to the best of my ability.

As soon as I finish my drink, I make my way towards the training room, but a voice stops me in my tracks.

'Oi, where are you going?' The voice asks, and even without turning around, I can guess that the person behind me, who was seemingly stalking me, was actually Kanda.

'I'm going to train.' I tell him bluntly. Please can I just leave and do what I want to do? It's not that hard to just let me go, others have done it before.

'May I join you?' He asks me. What's the harm in letting him train with me? I mean I don't really want to get injured due to his sword. I want to stay alive.

'I..uh.. do what you want' I tell him with a smile and leave towards the training room. I hear footsteps behind me, desperately trying to keep up with me. I slow down and let him reach my side.
We finally reach the training room and prepare to train. He had brought out 2 training dummies to test his sword on, he brought out an extra so that I could use my gift on it.

'Let's go!' I shout towards Kanda and we begin training, Kanda has began slashing his weapon here and here, relentlessly he kept slashing, where as I just started punching the dummy, each punch gradually getting stronger and soon enough I reach the potential maximum of my punches, a sudden burst of wind energy releases and dissipated around me and Kanda.
A strong wind, but it was pleasing as it touched our bodies and cooled us down.
We continue to train, punch after punch, slash after slash, the continuous energy released by the punch cooled us down.

'How about we take a break now?' Kanda speaks out.

I look at him in wonder, is he tired already?
'Yeah, sure. How about we call it a day then? We've been training for at least 3-4 hours. We can continue tomorrow.' I tell him and he nods in agreement.

'That seems like a good idea. Let's go clean ourselves up and go to the cafeteria, it's nearly lunch time and you must be hungry.' He tells me whilst looking into my eyes.

I look at him, I'll be fine without food, but I guess a drink wouldn't hurt me.
'Okay~ I'll meet you in the cafeteria' I tell him whilst smiling.
We both begin to walk away to our rooms to prepare for lunch.

I guess I didn't see it earlier, but this is a bit like a date. Even whilst living with the wolves, I didn't experience anything like this, but is that any surprise, they're wolves.

I put on my order dress and straighten my hair, as well as putting it up half down and half up with a blue ribbon. I caress the ribbon, the blue colour reminded me of Aoi, I'm sure sometime in our lives as siblings we had talks about the colour blue, about the sky and how we wanted to be free like the stars in the sky. And that's what he got, earlier than I did. He got taken away so early, he always protected me but that time I should've protected him. It's not fair.

I think about what Aoi said in my dream. "That's not how it works." What did he mean? Is that how life is supposed to work? You can help anyone, because it's either in the past or they're too far gone from reality.

Screw your courage to the sticking place Avery. You need to think straight, today you've trained and it's lunch time, you need to go down there and thank Kanda.

I slap myself and prepare to walk down, but before I could get up, there's a knock on my door, it was Kanda.

'I've come to collect the Princess of the Stars' He speaks from outside the door, I blush.

'She's not here, there's only Avery here' I tell him, he laughs through the door and opens the chamber.

'That's who I was looking for.' He looks at me through the door and bows as he walks in. I stand and bow.

'Thank you for coming to pick me up Prince, shall we leave?' I ask him.

He smiles and takes hold of my hand, a small tint of pink appears on my cheeks.
'Yes, My Lady.' He tells me and we walk down stairs towards the cafeteria.

As we enter, faces turn towards us and Allen and Leenalee are waiting for us at a 4x4 table.
'We've been waiting for you 2 love birds' the 2 humans speak towards us.

'Say you 2, like you haven't flirted to each other.' Kanda speaks and I giggle, he lets me sit next to Allen as he sits next to Leenalee.
It was very kind of him, letting me sit next to my cousin.
We began talking about what we would do later in the day, what we wanted to do as we grew up. About our lives in general. Time passed and the sun began to set and the stars were once again released.

'Shall we go and rest?' Allen asks us all.

Leenalee nods, 'it's become late so the best thing we can do is continue this conversation tomorrow.'
Kanda and I agree, so we all decide to get up and walk to our bedrooms, the men's rooms were one above the females, but that's what made it more exiting.

I got ready for sleep, platted my hair, closed the window and laid my eyes for slumber.

Again with the dreams.
The same woman getting hanged as the babies cry. 2? 2 babies.. this wasn't in my other dream..

'That's because the children were twins. If I showed you it earlier, your mind would've collapsed.' A voice tells me.

The image of the man crying by the woman had changed. He was holding the 2 children tightly in his arms, tears falling onto the children's small complexions.

'So small but fragile' I tell the voice.

'That's how children are born. You and I were the same' He tells me.

No surprise there.
A new image..

The children had grown up a little, a girl with black hair with a white strip, a boy with brown hair and blue eyes.
Why do they look like Aoi and I?
A blue ribbon in the girls hair catches my attention.

'Aoi.. are these children..' I begin.

'They're us.' He completes my sentence whilst answering my suspicions.

So young and pitiful. Being brought up by their father because their mother was killed...

'Ugnis seems lonely..' I tell the voice.

'He was..' he answered. 'But he had us' Aoi added.

A sudden crash could be heard outside my dream.

'You need to wake up, be careful sister' Aoi tells me before his voice disappeared.

'Aoi! What's wrong? What do you mean, be careful?' I ask towards the voice, but no answer.

I open my eyes to meet another pair or eyes greeting me.

'Why hello there~ I'm Tikki, and I'm here to take you away~' he states as he grabs my fragile body out of my bed and wraps me in a blanket.

'Someone help' I shout out towards the door, hoping someone would wake up and run to help me.

'Help!' I shout but the man covers my mouth.

'Shh.. Mana awaits your presence' he tells me as he hits the side of my neck, completely knocking me out.
He jumps out the window with my body in hand, Aoi had warned me..

As he exits, my chamber door opens to the person whom had entered, to find my window broken and my existence stolen.
