I went into detail on what had happened. Everything from the broken beaker to Christopher's involvement. I left out what happened to Christopher and I once I was in his house though. Mr.Boltz listened with an expressionless face.
"...And then I landed here. I am so sorry that Jason attacked you just now..." I said quietly. "It's my fault." Finally he spoke.
"It's not your fault." He said with a shrug. "It sounds like your leader is corrupt. At least now I know it wasn't a student who broke the beaker."
"I am sorry about that too..." I said nervously. He rested his hand and a down. I noticed it was the one Jason sliced so I placed my hand on it and healed it. He was shocked by my magic.
"Whoa." He lifted his arm tracing the now healed wound with his thumb.
"I was the healing mage before being banished." I told him as I tied my hair up. He seemed fascinated to see that there was nothing where my ears would be if I was human.
"You are truly a fascinating person." He said as he looked at my cat features. My ears twitched as I heard an unfamiliar voice which made me panic. Mr.Boltz just calmly scooped me up and set me into the drawer, leaving it open enough for light to seep through. I saw the same idiot that bullied Christopher earlier. Zachary I think his name was.
"Zachary I can't give you credit for something you didn't do." Mr.Boltz said sternly.
"Oh come on, Mr.Boltz!" Zachary whined.
"I'm sorry." Mr.Boltz said calmly. I heard a groan come from Zachary's mouth. He left soon after and Mr.Boltz helped me out.
"He's a jurk." I said bitterly.
"Boys will be like that I suppose. Him stopping by means Christopher will stop by soon." He told me as he looked at the time. I let out a breathe of relief.
"Thank god..." I said. He smirked.
"I'm really glad Christopher has someone around for him now." He said sincerely. "Ever since his father left and his mom became a drunk, he's been lonely." He told me.
"What?"
"Oh. He probably hasn't told you yet has he? His dad left his mother a while back. Sadly she turned to alcohol after the divorce. From what I've gathered she pays very little attention to him and his father has yet to visit him again." He told me with a sympathetic tone. "Look, whatever happens, I can tell you that Christopher needs you."
"I know he does. That's why I stick with him." I said. I heard Christopher gasp as he walked in, seeing me sitting on his teacher's palm.
"Mr.Boltz I can explain!" He exclaimed. As he stammered and fell over his own words his teacher simply chuckled.
"It's quite alright, Christopher. I've had a nice chat with your friend here." He said as he walked over to him. Then helped me into Christopher's hands.
"Y-You're not going to tell everyone?" Christopher asked nervously as I climbed into his shirt pocket. His sweatshirt was wrapped around his waist.
"No. I have no need to." Mr.Boltz told him. "If you need my classroom again tomorrow you are more than welcome to use it." He added.
"W-wow. Thank you..." Christopher said, clearly shocked.
"It's not a problem. I enjoyed your friend's company. She's quite pleasant." He told him. He picked up the piece of chocolate from earlier and handed it to me. "Plus, we share the same tastes." He joked. Christopher laughed awkwardly.
"Sorry for invading your space, sir." He apologized.
"Don't worry about it too much. You were helping your little friend here." He said with a shrug. "Now run along home. I need to leave and I'm sure you two have fun stuff to do." He smirked.
