Everyone thinks that we're perfect, Please don't let them look through the curtains ~Melanie Martinez

The moment she step into the classroom, everyone had their eyes fixed on her. She sat down on the seat next to the window, where the sunlight shone in and brightened her face. Everyone gasped at the mysterious, new girl. Whispers began, and soon enough, the whole class was talking about her, judging her. She ignored and looked away from them, knowing that she would probably experience all these, gossips whenever she entered the school.

The only person who had not spoken a single word, was the guy seated at the back, with his head pressed against the table, his eyes closed. He was indeed asleep, and no one ever dared to wake him up, because they were afraid of what would happen to them. He only really opened his eyes when the sound of 'click-clacking heels' could be heard. Who knows how that could work even though his ear was literally covered by the table fully, the sound must have travelled from floor to the echoes of his table, and into his ears, jolting him awake. This went on every single day. And he never failed to stop. Not until he woke up to the sound of chalk scraping on the whiteboard, and the strict teacher blabbering on and on again. One thing he really hated, other than the stern teachers and annoying students around him, was school. He wished he could go home and do his own things, but his parents wouldn't care. All they wanted was to let him study, and he couldn't complain because, that's what was going to help him survive in the future. He never knew school could be that boring, so he lost interest as days pass by.

"Min Yoongi, Pay attention!!" The teacher slammed the table and glared at him. Once again, the whole class turned to look at him, they always wanted to see his reaction. Yoongi pressed his tongue against his inner cheek, and rolled his eyes. He never cared. And he wondered why the teachers still did. Although he hated the reason why all the students kept looking at him everytime he was called out, he still glanced around at them, at their impressed faces. While he looked at the students around him, boasting at them, something caught his eye. Someone, to be exact was staring at him with those eyes. And they seemed innocent. Her pale face and the long, dark locks that were bundled up in a ponytail. Those beautiful eyes he looked into, she had quite the looks. Yoongi was lucky, he managed to notice her even earlier than usual. The heat felt between them was growing, the moment their eyes connected she immediately looked away to face the teacher. Yoongi, however, felt that there was a weird aura around that girl. Normally, the new students that join their school, he thinks, would act like the others. They were all heartless, and only care about gossips and their popularity.

The teacher gave him a chance as always, because no one could deny that Min Yoongi was scary. She sighed deeply and turned towards the whiteboard to continue her lesson. Surprisingly, Yoongi could not take his eyes off the new girl. He had been observing her and how she behaved. Sure enough, he had not seen this girl before but she seemed like a studious person. Everytime the teacher changed the topic, she would take down notes. So the day went by, with Yoongi staring at the girl for most of the lesson. There was one moment when the girl almost caught him, she had stopped writing and turned her head sideways for a while, Yoongi quickly looked away and rubbed the back of his neck, pretending like he was doing something else. Once the girl steered clear of the stares, she turned back to focus on her studies. At that moment, Yoongi kept thinking, she almost caught me...

It would seem like he did not care about these things, but why would he follow her to the canteen then? He never eats at the school canteen, because their food were always sloppy and disgusting. His curiosity led him to this, he ended up seeing her eating alone. The whole time no one had at least walked up to her to make friends. Even though he sat a few tables away from her, he could hear the people around her whispering and gossiping while glancing at times. The girl did not seem like she cared, she just finished up her food and was ready to leave. Until their eyes met, and Yoongi wished he had stopped daydreaming for once, or else this wouldn't happen. This time, she did not look away. Instead, she gave him a slight smile which lasted for a few seconds, then turned away to proceed back to class. Yoongi was too caught up to figure out what was going on, but he was sure she had the brightest smile he ever seen. Even though it wasn't fully shown. He must say he almost fell for her, but he didn't want to push it. He never had any feelings.

The next day

Footsteps began to rush down the stairs, as Yoongi quickly threw on his school uniform and grabbed a slice of bread. But he saw something on the table. His parents have left a note, which was unexpected. He then realised that his parents were not in their usual spot, where they would be in the living room having breakfast while watching the television. He took a glance at the note and it read..

"We left for work and won't be coming back. Please study hard."

Well, after reading it, his mood was definitely spoiled. What does it mean that they wouldn't be coming back? Forever? But he just shrugged it off, thinking that it could be a vacation. And proceeded to head for school.

He could not wait to see the girl again. He, himself could not deny that she was a big attraction to him. She just draws him closer everyday, because he wanted to know more about her. Everytime Yoongi saw her, he just could not help but stare deeply. Surprisingly, he never heard her speak a word, not even in class to answer questions, because the lazy teacher never asks. Days went on like this, but he didn't want to hold it in anymore. He felt like talking to her, so he did.

Yoongi waited until all classes were over and when the students cleared up. The girl would always be the last one to head home for some reason. He always like doing things the easy way, as he was more like the straight-forward kind. Yoongi leaned against the lockers, a leg up to support himself while waiting patiently for the girl to be done.

A few moments later, she finished stuffing things inside the locker and picked up her bag to leave. Yoongi pushed himself away, and slammed both hands on the locker doors, to trap the girl so she had no where else to go. The girl widened her eyes in shock the second she turned around, the bag sliding of her arm naturally. She soon realised that it was the guy that always got called out by the teacher, this almost frightened her, but she was strong.

"What are you doing to me?" Yoongi mumbled as he looked into her eyes lustfully. They were so close, that Yoongi's hot breath hit her 'cold' face while he talked. He had managed to be able to see her pure face closer this time. The girl did not answer however, her head tilted to the side as her eyes were fixated on the floor. She gulped.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" Yoongi tried to follow her gaze but her head was looking way down. Suddenly, her hand pulled up and she pushed away Yoongi's arm forcefully. Unfortunately, Yoongi was too concentrated on her, so she managed to escape from his arms effortlessly, pick up her bag and stumbled out of the gates in a hurry. Long gone before Yoongi could do anything. This had left him speechless.

"Weird. I didn't even get to know her name." Yoongi muttered under his breath. He was beginning to head out until he spotted something on the floor, an old notebook. That girl must have dropped it when she 'rushed out of his arms'. He wanted to read it so bad, but he knew he wasn't supposed to invade others' privacy. Especially the girl's that he was interested in. He just had to pass it back to her, which could give him another chance for them to interact again.
