"After you finish cleaning up those tables, you can go home." The manager's voice echoed through the pathway as she made her way to the pantry. Jisoo raised a 'thumbs up' gesture, just in case the manager wanted her answer. Her other hand busy wiping the tables hard.
She was already done stacking up the chairs in a few minutes, getting ready to go home as she untied the ribbon behind her back, placing the apron on the counter. She lugged her heavy school bag, exiting the café in a swift second. Jisoo began walking on a fast pace, since she had a ton of homework to do. Plus, her whole body felt sticky after the busy day, all the little droplets of sweat on her neck already dried of by the cold weather. She shivered a little.
The walk back home was the same, she just didn't like how there was literally trouble everywhere she turned, some guys were smoking, the bunch of gangsters at the side beating up someone, and there would always be drunkards on the streets stumbling towards her, but somehow, Jisoo manages to avoid all these people, staying out of danger. How lucky she was, to have always made it home safely, no matter how many times she passed all those crazy things on the way. She continued strotting home, ignoring all the commotion around her.
After a while, she sighs in relief upon reaching the streets, that were cleared up. That was why Jisoo didn't have any nuisance going to school, because it was only a few down the streets from her house. As she neared her home, some grunts travelled to her ears and there was even shouting. She realises a deep and husky voice that was familiar. What was happening? She thought. However, Jisoo didn't ignore it like what she did up the streets just then. She noticed the sound coming from across the street as she drew closer. There, her eyes fell upon a red haired and mint haired arguing. It hadn't struck her mind if she knew the people, she was just curious to find out the commotion, because it never really happens on quiet streets. Jisoo looked for any cars before dashing across the road, then hid behind the walls of the abandoned alley, those two were fighting in. She pressed the back of her head against the walls and listened intently to the conversation.
"What the hell did you do?" The guy with a deep voice appeared, his voice seemed firm and annoyed.
"I-I don't-"
"Don't tell me you don't know. you did this on purpose, didn't you?"
The other guy paused for a while, and there was silence. Heavy breathing was heard, it seemed like one of them wanted to talk but was cut off.
"What if it was an accident? You still get the same amount of money," he muttered calmly, somehow.
"An accident? This happened to most of the songs, I know you're lying, and using me." The same guy chuckled randomly before he continued, his voice still thick and stiff.
"Why do you think I'm never satisfied, because I'm greedy? No. It's because my pay is so damn little!! How do you expect me to live?" Jisoo's hands began to tremble even though the conversation was amusing to her. She wanted to at least take a peek, so she shifted closer to the end of the wall, her eyes widened at the sight in front. Everything was clear now. Two men were quarelling, and one of them, the mint-haired, was indeed her friend, Yoongi. She was surprised to see him, especially with some other gangster on the streets. Both had not noticed Jisoo yet. But she just knew, the red-head stranger might began attacking Yoongi at any second. Considering the brave side of Jisoo, she would do anything to help Yoongi, but she didn't want to misunderstand or judge anyone that fast, so she waited. The red-haired started again.
"In this world, nobody cares for anyone. I need money too. And to answer your question, all the lyrics you produced are terrible so don't even think of getting more money than you already have. You want to quit? Fine, get your girlfriend to give you money. Like what I said, she probably won't care, all sluts just want to f-"
