The rest of the day went by surprisingly fast. The bell run eventually and it was time to go home.

I went to my locker and got my backpack. I walked to the front of the school and waited for my mom.

A couple people passed me and I was still waiting. Then my mom finally came.

"Sorry I'm a little late, had to drop something off at the cleaners," mom says.

"It's fine, but are we still down for food?" I ask sitting in the car.

"Of course! Where do you want to go?" mom asks.

"I don't know," I say.

"How about McDonald's?" she asks driving down the road we were on.

"Sure," I say with no emotion.

We pull up into the parking lot and walk into the restraunt. We ordered our food and say down at a table and talked.

"So how was your day?" mom says and takes a bite out of her burger.

"It was cool," I say dipping my fry in ketchup, then eating it.

"Who did you meet?" she asks.

"I met some boys named Toby, Ben, LJ, and then Jeff. Then there was a girl who acted mean," I name them.

"Really? Who's the mean girl?" mom asks.

"Her names Clockwork. People strongly dislike her," I state.

"I wonder why," mom says.

"Maybe because she's mean to others or maybe she looks like the popular girl. Wow what a cliche," I say with a smile.

"Well I hope you don't get in trouble with her, otherwise you've gone too far," mom says.

"Yeah," I say.

We finish our food and drive home in silence. We get home and my mom unlocks the door. My stepbrothers come running and hug my mom.

"Hey guys!" mom says.

"Hey mom!" they say in unison. I sit down on the couch and Michael and Lucas sat next to me.

"How was your day?" Michael asks.

"Did you meet anyone?" Lucas asks.

"Of course she met someone, Lucas," Michael says.

"Guys my day was fine," I say looking at Michael. "And I did meet a couple of people," I added looking at Lucas.

"Did dad come back yet?" mom asks.

"No!" Lucas says.

"He was supposed to do the dishes," mom mumbles to herself.

"We'll do the dishes mom!" Michael yells.

"No we're not," Lucas mumbles. I chuckle.

They run to the kitchen and earn thanks from mom. I then run upstairs to do my homework. Yeah, right.

I sat on my bed and went on my phone. There were some friend requests from some people on Facebook and some followers on twitter.

I put on some music and listen to nightcore. I stare at the ceiling. I saw pictures but they didn't mean anything to me. Then the images disappeared as my dad walks in.

"Hey dad," I say sitting up with a smile.

"Hey Lucy, how was school?" he asks.

"It was alright, I miss my old school a little bit," I say.

"Yeah I would feel the same thing if I was in your shoes," he says.

"Yeah,"

"Mom told me you met some people. Are they ok?"

"Yeah dad, they're ok." I say.
